anyone used fasttrack passes at alton towers..worth the money?

Wondered if anyone had used fastpass or fasttrack passes at alton towers. sorry cant remember correct name. These are passes you buy extra to the usual entrance. They vary in price depending on what you want to go on or how many times. Wondered if anyone has used them on a typical school holiday day....when its busy...and did you think they were worth it. How long did you have to wait in the fastpass queue. If its 10 mins i am happy if its half an hour i would be a bit annoyed at paying so much extra.
Thanks in advance for you thoughts.

I am going next week and had a look at the fast track prices, probably good to have but the prices are stupid, so not bothering. UPTO £80 EACH

well worth it, saves queing for a few hours waiting for 1 ride at times
#3
try saving them for later in the day when its at its busiest

I was thinking of the £25 or £40 ones for us....i agree £80 each on top of entrance fee each is rediculous. Still considering the cheaper ones though as we dont get to theme parks often due to out location and my absolute hatred of queues so for once a year it might be worth it.

great idea this might work getting the cheaper ones as i think you might only get one go on each of the big rides for that whereas the more expensive ones allow you on as many times as you want.

I will have a good look at the tickets and work out what we would want to go on.

Thanks everyone.

£80 or queue for 3 hours to get on each ride..the choice is yours

We went a few years ago and queued without the kids for oblivion for 2 hours....it lasted about 20 seconds....yes it was great but dont think i would do it again...and i know the kids wouldnt.

When we went a a few years ago i think they had just started the fastpass things...we bought them there...once we saw the queues...so you might be able to purchase once your there if you think you need them. Although online it suggests they run out of them.
Have a great day.

Yeh , 4 of us in our family so am I right in saying with Fast track tickets it would be just short of £500 to get in.:w00t:

Well worth it :whistling:

If you pick your day its not so bad.

On a busy day, you will queue even with fastrack, and on the best days, the queues arent too horrific anyway.

Personally i wouldn't bother.

be cheaper to do 1 nights B&B and get on the rides that open early before the park opens to the public, they dont all open early we got on Nemesis twice and sonic spinball last weekend no que at all then we raced round to Rita to be front of the que, all we had to wait for in the end was Air as I didnt bother with oblivion. The hotel is great too btw.

i was thinking more of the fasttrack scream ticket @ £9 :) with the £80 one i think u can only use it once on each ride, altho i might be wrong on that 1, so no its not worth it for £80, whereas the £9 is well worth it, if u save it for middle of day when its busy, in the morning you should be able to get on quite a few with just queing, abviously in summer and weekends they will be the most busiest of times, so try to avoid those days if u can

i never bother with fast track. Instead we go straight to the single riders queue and sometimes two of us get on together and other times we get on the same ride but in different locations. beats fast track

Time = Money
So Money + Save time = Save money

You'll go on more rides and have your moneys worth for the price you paid for the entrance fee.
Instead of paying like £30 like I did and going on three rides and wasting a whole day there.

Personally Thorpe Park > Alton Towers.. you have to walk an age to get from ride to ride at AT.
#21
Don't buy the £80 fast pass because you don't get the use,(if you work it out 9X large rides with queues of about 15 to 20 mins with the fast pass tickets plus walking time between rides = you only get to go on each ride once)
#22
Queue jumping by any other name.

Come the revolution all the fast track ticket holders will be the first against the wall.

We visited alton towers last week and due to a few of the rides breaking down we were given fast track passes.

Yes it was good to have shorter queue times, longest wait 15 mins or so but I certainly don't think its worth buying them.

Heading to alton towers with my bf on the 6 or 7th of august. Its our first time here and was wondering if we should buy the unlimited fast track passes? Only going for one day and we are from ireland so want to make the most of our day, we both love the big rollercoasters. Is this worth paying the extra 90 for fast track and does anyone know how long the fast track ques will be?
