Hi all,

I was just wondering has anyone used TERMINAL A before? The reason I'm asking i because i booked two tickets via their website to america. The total coming upto £720

And i've just received an email saying they want a copy of my passport and Credit card (front and back) for payment verification! :(

I'm just a bit worried about faxing those details accross!

What do you all reckon?

Thanks

never heard of them but I know there are websites you can check if they are valid. I'll have a look....

Mind you, bit risky sending over 720 to a company beforehand and then worrying about it lol

yeah but this came up through travelsupermarket. If the money went straight through and i got the the e-ticket not a problem. Its the fact they now want copies of my passport and CC that has got me thinking. Before they would have had my passport so i wasnt too concerned then!

Hi there, please do not BOOK anything in this website TERMINAL A. Unfortunately, a friend recomended to go to kayac.co.uk, there I saw several options to book a flight to Stockholm, so I choose the cheapest fare...i regret it inmensily...I received after paying with an international VISA issue in Spain, a confirmation by email of all OK and also a TEXT on my cell.
3 weeks later when I was departing to go to the airport, I check again my email inbox to pick up reference and I realized there was 2 emails from TERMINAL A. One of then was not read, as it was same late the same day I made the booking. IT IS BEYOND BELIEF, but this email was asking me to call them to OK then to charge my VISA in EUR (??) (the fare booked was in UK pounds)...I never saw this second email, so I inmediately contact TERMINAL A (5 hours before flight departure) thinking it was just an admin email or a mistake...WELL I WAS TOLD THEY CANCEL MY RESERVATION THAT SAME DAY..
The worse part, is that they never sent a email cancelation or another TEXT to inform that it was cancel... I had to payd EXTRA 200 UK POUNDS to get same flight, but 24 hrs later. So they made me loose 1 day holiday and finatialy it was VERY bad.
But the nighmare story is that NOW TERMINAL A, after 3 letters of complaints/emails and several calls are saying "it is my fault for not reading my email"
PLEASE PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM THIS TERMINAL A WEBSITE.
THIS TERMINAL A COMPANY; ALSO CANCEL 4 TICKETS A FRIEND BOOKED WITH THEM FOR AN INTERNAL FLIGHT IN CHINA, NO EXPLANATION.

A friend has just booked through them, they had the cheapest prices, but after pressing to confirm the booking, the prices changed to almost double the price with completely different flight details! Called the credit card company but no possbility of small courts claim as they are based in Spain. Terminal A deny any wrong doing. My friend is banging her head against the wall as the flights were only £10 cheaper anyway.

AVOID TerminalA.com like the plague!!!!

Don't deal withTerminal A!
I booked a flight to Minsk from London in early November through Terminal A. The payment was taken immediately from my credit card, but when I tried to check in for the flight in mid December I found that my booking had been cancelled because Terminal A had not paid the airline. After an initial response to my complaint, they are now ignoring my emails. Fortunately my booking was by credit card so all is not lost.

Terminal A got me a great price to Orlando from the UK from which i have just returned.

BUT....I made a typo on my surname when booking. Even though i entered my surname at least twice in the booking process as you have to enter your passport details they have no error checking!!! - anyway, that parts my fault but i contacted them by email and got no response for 10 days then got an email saying i had to contact a different department which i did. Again more days passed without a response then i was informed that they had tried but 1 of the airlines said i couldnt change it.
So i called both airlines who said my surname could be changed for free as it was only a typo and not a full name change. However... As it was booked through an agent (Terminal A) they owned the booking so they had to change it.

After numerous emails back and forth with terminal A, and even offering to pay all i was given was the email address for the cancellation department.

The Customer Service department i was dealing with do have a phone number but its a spanish number starting with 902 and i was unable to call it from the UK using land line, mobile or skype and if you google it then you will see that very few peope can actually call a spanish 902 number - even within spain!!

anyway, left with no option. 2 months later i went to orlando with the surname with the typo and got away with it!!

Fortunately a happy ending to a stressful story

Avoid Terminal A if you can. I booked a flight from Europe to Asia a few months ago, and last month Terminal A informed me that the airlines (KLM / Cathay) had made changes in their schedules so that the flights did no longer connect. I called to Terminal A customer service, who told me I had to contact the airlines directly for making any changes in my ticket. Both KLM and Cathay replied that they could not make any changes. Since I had bought my ticket through a travel agent, I had to contact the agent for any changes.
I called back to Terminal A who still insisted that the airlines should fix my ticket. I would not accept this, however, and finally Terminal A agreed to deal with the matter.

All of this happened over the phone. I started the process by sending e-mails to Terminal A, but it seems they have a policy of not responding to written messages. Over a period of 3 weeks I sent e-mails to 5 different addresses (both "general" addresses and addresses to specific persons). So far not a single reply has been received.

It is now several days ago that Terminal A promised me to change my ticket. I sent a formal request by e-mail ( to an address given to me over the phone by customer service), and was promised a reply by the end of the day. No reply came, and I had to call again the next morning. I got the same assurances once more - that I would have a reply by the end of the day - but nothing happened. Today is the 4th day, and the story continues to repeat itself. I am not holding my breath.

They only people you get to talk to at Terminal A is Customer Service. I have several times asked to speak directly with the people who are supposed to make the necessary changes in my tickets, but I am told that they can only be contacted by e-mail.

I have no experience in making complaints about internet based travel agencies, but a web search gave me the following tip: the European Customer Center (ECC) www.ukecc.net The ECC can give advice on how to deal with problems you have when purchasing goods/services from other European countries. The ECC has offices in all EU countries + Iceland and Norway. Maybe it is worth a try....

I wish I'd read this an hour ago, I got an error at the last stage of my booking with a really useful "An error occurred but your booking may have gone through" message. Only then did I discover that you cannot contact them by phone, only by email. All their telephone links, even the 'click to chat' ones simply play a message asking you to email them.. Will I ever get a reply? How long do I wait before rebooking with someone else? Rubbish.
