Has anyone used www.dhgate.com?

This site looks like a Far eastern ebay but the sellers on it don't have much feedback. Payment, they say, is with paypal and is not taken until you receive the goods. Anyone used it before - I fancy a £60 dress that is just like a £200 one here.

What sort of things do you buy and have the sellers got reasonable feedback?

Having a look on google at reviews and looking at the actual website its self, there does not appear to be any genuine items for sale, all are fake.

E.g. Instead of iPhone its ePhone or i8.

Unless you are after fake goods i would avoid.

Don't buy branded goods as they' ll be fake and expect the odd faulty item from even the most reputable sellers who know you won't be returning them by a fully tracked service as the cost will outweigh the refund you'll get otherwise you can never guarantee that the seller has received the item/s back when they have. Other than those pointers some deals can be had, one thing I have noticed is that larger packages of late via ems & dhl are being clobbered more lately by customs trying rake in more vat etc

I purchased a portable HDD, a faulty item was delivered, when raised with the seller, he/she would take several days to respond, when raising a dispute, due to the dispute resolution time limit, by the time he/she has responded with a meaningless response, the dispute resolution time has expired.

I returned the item via royal mail recorded delivery, this was signed for on delivery, the seller then states he/she did not receive the item, even though it was signed for. I will never use this site again, this has been a nightmare.

So basically, I have no item, and have lost my money. A Big Scam, and DHGate have been unhelpful throughout.

Also, look at seller reviews before buying, most of the reviews seem to be from the same person or not relative to the products being sold.
