When doing references don't include them in your CV ask for them to be requested, means you are likely to be phoned up regarding and get some more information both ways.

People make a CV far too complicated thinking that there are rules to follow. Actually its simple. Clear information selling yourself. With correct spelling and grammar. Thats it really. Beyond that who you lay it out and what font etc... Its up to you. There is no right or wrong as long as it looks professional.

Hmmm, I would be a bit careful about that. In the current job market we are getting 200 applications for a job that we would usually get 25-30. It is really hard to decide who to interview but anything that would delay the process or put more onus on us would be a negative thing I'm afraid.

You can't put references on your CV anymore (well you're not supposed to)

Nothing to do with trying to make a potentially employer call you it's because of the Data Protection Act.
