Thinking about it, ebay is changing stuff in jan, and I'm thinking of selling independently or just going onto the Dole, not worth those fees and stupid tax for awful money this year

I have a business model and 2 accountants

Still have to pay them like everyone does

Just always amazed how much they get

LOL, if you're paying 1k a month in fees, i'm sure you'll be making enough money for the 'dole' not to be an option!

edit; What do you specialise in selling?

Its not that easy

I have to pay 17.5% VAT, 40% tax, 8% National Insurance

I want to just go onto the dole as I am at uni and fed up of ebay

keep your ebay account but lose the shop (if you have one) sell only a few items a month from there...... but every item you sell put a note of some sort telling the customer you have a website that they can buy from & the prices are cheaper

set up a website of your own ( can be done for free if ya know what ya doing) then sell most items from there, use ebay to advertise it, but you can't put a link in the auction page but put stuff about your website in your "about me" page

the dole isnt really their for you to use like that...its to help people find a job not just so you can go and make easy money while at uni

If you don't mind my asking, what are you selling over eBay? Is it something thats harder to sell independantly in the real world? 25k is a big loss of earnings. eBay are rip offs in my opinion. I can't see what the big hype is for sellers on there these days, its getting ridiculous.
