anyone watch traffic cops last night? - I got a question!

Last night we watched traffic cops and the policeman had been called to an incident where a motorbike had collided with a horse, the policeman was talking about the motorbike and said "it was a beast of a bike, weighing 600 kg" then 2 policemen stood the bike up.
I wondered how heavy 600kg was so got my little weight converter out on my mobile and it converted to 94 stone?! now have I done something wrong or did the policeman guess the weight wrong?! surely it doesn't weigh 94 stone does it?!

Actually thats a good point... its a bit much for two blokes to pick up! I'd have thought to be that weight it'd have to be a BIG Harley or a Honda Goldwing style thing, most sport bikes are going to be much lighter (200kg ish). Any ideas what the bike was?

did they physically pick up the bike, or just sort of push it onto its wheels, sounds like a bit of exaggeration in the weight but if they were just putting it upright its different from lifting it off the ground

Off topic, but same programme.

When the police dog handler came to see the Rottweiler, he said he didn't wanna touch it and put it in his van cos he didnt wanna pass any infections onto his police dog. Then, 5 minutes later, he was touching it trying to get it in the back of the police car

didn't catch what bike it was but I'm sure he said it was an off roader. I'm so shocked a bike could weigh that much! I did look big!!

putting it upright

but they aren't lifting the bike up off the ground completely. Its a lot easier to pick a 94 stone weight off the ground leaving one end on the ground.

so it may well have weighed 94 stone then?

putting it upright

Well i think putting it upright would be alot easier than lifting the whole thing off the ground, as its easier to tilt a washing machine for example than it is to lift it off the ground. Though 600kg still sounds quite heavy for a bike to me!

I can't see it being that heavy in that case, in fact I've just looked up the weights of the huge Harleys and take it all back... they're about 350kg! Perhaps he was getting confused between kg and lbs?

How about the man who had the pheasant smash into his face !!!!! OUCH !!!!!!!! :w00t:

Now that was unlucky !

Probably, they are big birds and with such little protection and such force im sure it would make a mess and his face proved that !!!
The bloke was very lucky he ended up in the ditch as well as the bike and not oncoming traffic or the tree !!

Depends where you live! :-D Hes in Washington, near Sunderland.

Yeah, the Tomtom would need to be turned on for the bluetooth to work, god knows where some of the police get their ideas from!

I loves me a bit of Traffic Cops! Loved how at the end that bloke who got pulled over for overtaking had been sent to jail for 12 months for perverting the course of justice. Haha.
