It's excellent.

Got the boxset on Region 1. Plenty more twists and turns that'll change your mind yet about having it worked out. ;-) :)

I've got the boxset on its way, ordered it on Friday. I can't wait until next week to find out.

I know who explodes at the end, but the one I think I know about is 'who is Sylar'?
#3

Been watching the series on BBC2 as I've missed it on Sci-fi - been enjoying it so picked up the HD DVDs and rewatching it from the start, there's a lot of small details I missed out the first time that make more sense viewing the second time.

I don't watch UK tv much, but series 2 will start on BBC2 straight after series 1 has finished I guess. BBC have the rights for series 2, so it won't be on the scifi channel first (or whatever cable channel had series 1)

That would make it about 14ish weeks till series 2 I think. I have no idea what episode you lot are up to? About 9 or 10?

Don't think series 2 will start straight away inline with the US season because The US have Thanks Giving, and a pause in episodes happened during the last series, and in the UK a season plays straight throught.

For the Geeks/Nerds: Did you notice the licence plate? "NCC-1701" ;)

The UK series has a good 14 or so episodes to go. I don't know when it is due to finish, around mid december?

So series 2 would probably start in January, giving the US a good 3 months lead.

Don't forget between the breaks of series 2, Heroes: Origins will be airing  (so that negates the breaks for Thanksgiving etc)

Edit: Just checked, the next episode is 9, so it's another 15 episodes to go will the end

All I remember is this:

"YAaaAaDDaaaAaAa! HEEELLLOOOOO NEW YORK!!"

I only watched bits of it and it's really good.

Season 1 finishes on BBC1 on December 5th, and then the full season DVD is out on December 10th.

Heroes: Origins will be airing straight after Season 2 in the US - as one of its aims is letting the fans choose a new character for Season 3.

Season 2 will run straight through, with only smallish breaks for Thanksgiving/Christmas and it will actually finish in early/mid April 2008, and Heroes: Origins will fill up the rest of the time through to mid/late May. :)

I thought the whole point of the 6 episodes of Origins, was primarily to fill the breaks in series 2, and also allow american viewers to pick a character for series 2 or 3

Either way I don't care as I have always watched the american and canadian airings of heroes. so when it gets on BBC2 is irrelevant to me.

No, it was always about picking new characters for Season 3. They announced the air-dates at ComicCon recently. :)

Kevin Smith is writing and directing the first episode - he's been given complete creative freedom to do what he wants with it. Each episode is going to be written and directed by different "auteurs".

Yeh but the whole point originally was to fill the breaks in series 2, as thats what NBC wanted...

I know about kevin smith, he is writing about the 2 gay characters :)
#33
Well they've still kind of got that - as now there won't be a major hiatus. They just decided it might get confusing to shove another series into the middle of the existing one.

Who Sylar is, and what is going to happen eventually to cause the nuclear explosion.

Torrents. Nope not legal, but have always done it. Friends, Lost, Heroes etc etc

I always buy the DVDs if it's good though, so am at least donating some money back again. I have been watching Heroes on BBC2 though with my mum, when I am not busy on Wednesday evenings

Homecoming - wow, that was a good episode, it's really starting to come together.

My favourite episode from Season 1 is when - spoiler *it shows what happens in the future to all the characters*.
#39
I saw the first series in March-June, and upon second time of watching (BBC2 run now), I can say the first few episodes are rubbish :|

Most likely because I know how the cliffhangers are resolved. It picks up pace though from tonight's episode, my favourite eventually being the future one.

I started watching it in like april on the sci fi channel it was good i watched up till about 12th episode but then it got really repetitive and i realised they are gunna milk this series for at least 3 series' so i didnt bothr watching it
