Anyone watching Shamrock Rovers vs Real madrid?

I know its real's first match, i know rovers are already well into their season. But is anyone else thinking ronaldo's move to real looks a big mistake? I know kaka isn't there, i know benzema is on the bench. However that is their first choise defence really, bar the keeper. I think they need at least 3 defenders and that isn't looking likely. Thoughts?

You are right in what you say. They need a couple more defenders. Then again, they have just bought half a team and this is their first game.

we all know you can't "buy" success though. Especially when you only buy attacking midfielders and strikers. The defence is what failed them last year. So what have they done this year? buy 200 million worth of attackers. I know attack is the best form of defence but thats madness. Even yet they're going after alonso who imo couldn't tackle a fish supper.:whistling:

It was a good game! I don't think Barca have too much to worry about! Good little team Shamrock!

aye it was, and i was surprised by shamrock. I'd never watched them before but credit to them they did alright. Real madrid, even though not as fit, should have looked by far the better team, but sadly they weren't. Benzema spared their blushes. Yes i think barca are still firm favourites.

Me to! They have not had to change their squad too much.... I thought the score tonight would be 6-1 before kick off...... Madrid need a bit more time together before the start of their first league game!
