Hello All

Just spent £95 on some Timberland boots, from JD Sports.

Anyway they have some scratches on them, going back tomorrow for a replacement as there damaged. - Anyone else who brought Timberland's from JD Sports had this problem before?

Anyone it has a piece of paper in there saying

"These shoes where inspected by" and it has 11 in a circle

What does that mean, if they where inspected doesn't that mean they should not be damaged?

Thanks All!

That means it was inspected by number 11 from the warehouse, may be monyhs ago, not inspected by the staff in the shop

The '11' is simply the person who inspected them at Timberland.
It simply means that Timberland checked them and they were ok. Its probable that the staff at JD Sports did this by mistake.
Just take them back and ask for a 'fresh pair'. These are ones with the tissues still in the shoes

Hmm....Even though they where inspected they where sold to be, they should of been returned to the manufacture.

Oh, ok. I used to work in JD's, but havent had this problem before.
I believe the staff have just scratched them with scissors (by mistake), when checking the order.
If the store kick up a fuss, just ask for the manager.

I am abit worried they will through a fuss with me, they might blame me or something. But they shouldn't do. Very good with complaints :)

I remeber when I bought some Nike TN's for £110 from Footlocker and at that time I bought one size bigger as they were a nice fit but decided to get a size smaller, but anyway I had a cut on my hand and didnt realise I put a blood stain inside the shoe and they did and said I could not return it as I di this. So I asked "I cant return them because of the stain"? They said "Yes" so I came out with I bought them like this and they said I am just saying that and its not true and I took it further to their head office and got a return!! I had to lie as £110 is alot of money!!!

Hmmmmm ..... You shouldn't of lied, companies loose alot of money just by consumers making fraud claims, this also means prices go up on products within the company.

Nah they shouldn't blame you. They might offer you around 10% back (at the managers discression) if you wanted to keep them / they don't have any more stock in your size.

clarks measured my little ones feet spent ages choosing a pair as they didnt have this and they didnt have that in her size, she eventually chose a pair of trainers that they had in stock, the assistant tried them on her and felt for her toes etc ect made her walk around the shop,£28 later we were out of there......

Next day I noticed she was walking strangely, took the trainers off and low and behold one was a size 8F and one a 9F! kicked up a right stink to get them changed as the woman in there didnt see a problem?!

if they refuse to change them just start talking VERY loudly and they soon give in to get you the hell outta their shop lol
