FLORENTIAhttp://www.toppstiles.co.uk/productimages/fullimages/florentia.JPG10cm x 10cm [] A highly glossy product with an undulating surface, working reflectively with natural light. These wall tiles are available in soft pastel blues or creams, lending themselves to both the bathroom and kitchen. The colours can be used on their own or put together to create decorative accents – there soft subtle tones are just stunning.

should be about £240 for 360 tiles
how much is your 20 metres squared in total?

360 tiles at 81 would be nearer £300?

i wouldnt need that many tiles, the 83p ones are 12 tiles to a sq metre so £189.24 although i think i may be able to get them down to 80p so £182.40, but as thats a big chunk out of my budget was hoping i would be able to get them cheaper:oops:

My OH is a tiler......he says not to get tiles from B&Q,because anytime he has worked with them it has been a nightmare! Tiles are different sizes and different depths creating lippage. He has never had a problem with Topps tiles and would always recommend them to his customers.

Yes,tiling can be an expensive job,but sometimes saving a few quid is not really worth it....why spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar!

thank you muckypup, could you give him another jab and ask him if the tiles im going for are too big for a bathroom, as two have mentioned they are, thanks

If they are wall tiles and sold as such they should be ok.He's just gone out again:roll:....never around when you need 'em,but will get some advice for you later(it may be in the morning now!)

As far as i know, from what he has said in the past, you need to make sure you get the correct adheshive, with them being a larger tile,to make sure they stay stuck to the wall.In fact he much prefers to work with larger tiles than smaller ones, the job gets done much quicker and there are less cuts to do.

not too much help for you now,but I will get back to you with some more info:)

Sassie,
Had a word with OH,the tiles(size wise) are fine for walls so long as they are not being put on freshly skimmed or plastered walls.Standard adhesive is fine also and use spacers of at least 2mm(can be bigger,it's whatever you prefer)

Any other questions,just ask:)

No worries,he says to let the new plaster dry out for as long as you can hold off,but as it's not a full wall should be ok(summat to do with the load per sq.metre that freshly plastered walls can take!!!:?)

Also be prepared for the cost of adhesive and grout, you may need to count to 10!!
