Hi guys. I'm posting this from my mobile. Both .y internet and girlfriends internet connections are down. Both use AOL as ISP and live a mile from each other and use same exchange. Tried calling aol but been on hold for ages. Is there anywhere I can find out on the internet of there are any service issues in my area NP1 postcode.

I stopped using AOL around 3 Years ago & from what I remember you will have to wait around 40 Minutes for them to answer & then you get some Indian person who's English is so bad you still don't know if you are getting put back on-line any-time soon.

Just checked with neighbours and phone lines are now down aswell as internet. They use bt internet. Phones only just cut off. Internet about an hour.

I'm with aol and it was running very slowly about 6pm ish but has got bit better now. BT only guarantee 0.45 mb speed for my area and only one provider offers LLU, but for the meanwhile, I'm bearing with aol!! BTW I'm down south BH16

I've been an aol customer for 7 years, unlimited 20 mb broadband for £6 a month... That'll do nicely, customer service is slow since talk talk took over but I cant complain for the price.

To answer the question its fine in the west midlands...

Do you have any dial tone on your phone?

Also try this number instead 0117 919 1100 as I believe this goes through to their Ireland call centre but is only a Bristol based number, so no 0870 higher rates

No dial tone. Just slight static.
