Applause Store - Anyone have experience of them?

Got free tickets to watch Dave's One Night Stand through the Applause Store. It says on the ticket that entrance is not guaranteed and it's first come first served. Has anyone ever been to an event through Applause Store and got any experiences? Am I going to have to get there a million hours early to get a seat or are they just being big drama queens?!

You usually have to get there a few hours in advance, when we went to see QI we arrived about 10 minutes before the time on the ticket and we didnt get in like a few hundred people in front of us! I heard someone say they'd paid 70.00 to get there and paid for accomodation and they didnt even get in! We did get priority tickets for another recording though and we had a great time at that although the seats really hurt your bum. :p

maybe for x factor or strictly. I would guess you'll probably be ok for a Dave show. However, thats just based on opinion, not experience. Get there as early as you can.

Blimey, seems a bit silly making all those plans when you know you may not get in!! Perhaps we'll go an hour early... Not sitting around all afternoon though!!! Thanks!

I went a few years ago through the bbc to watch frankie boyle doing a pilot for a tv show.

We got there with plenty of time to spare but they were full. Turned out to be a bit of a result as the producers took about 20 of us that couldn't get in to watch it in a side room and laid on a load of free wine. got pretty drunk although his show was terrible.

Anyway moral of the story get there early if you want a seat in the audience.

Been to see Britain's Got Talent, Deal or No Deal and yes, the holy grail that is Top Gear! Never failed to get into any of them, but the bigger shows - you do have to get there early. Queued at BGT for at least 3 hours and wasn't even at the front, but we still got in.

How long did you queue for Top Gear? I've got tickets for 16th Feb and thinking of going. But would have to go the Tuesday and stay in hotel. So don't want a wasted Journey.

I would never personally make any 100% plans again based on getting a ticket for an Applause Store show. For the big ones, you really do need to be there hours before then and I doubt the smaller ones are much better.

The best thing though is that when you don't get it with your normal tickets, they issue you priority ones for your next booking when you ring up. These pretty much guarantee you entry.

Saw The Cube last week with a 'priority ticket' guaranteeing entry. Got Celebrity Juice this Wednesday, non priority but love the show (and Holly) so gonna get there bout three hours before just to be sure. If you really wanna get in, and its not a massive popular show arrive two hours before I say.
