Once an iphone has already been unlocked then restored back to original settings, do apple know that it has previously been unlocked, as i have a problem with it and want them to have a look at it ?

Thanks

It depends how deep they look.
At a glance then no, you can make it appear untouched, but once you've unlocked it, it leaves traces that you can't get rid of, and they can certainly find out.

Well the bottom half of the screen doesnt work !

Like if i try to unlock it by sliding it, it wont and anything on the bottom half, if i try to click phonebook or other apps on the bottom half it wont respond. think its due to impact

I assume you've tried a full restore?

If so, you might be out of luck, as something that problematic is bound to get the Apple people to investigate the phone fully to see what's wrong... first step, has the phone been 'tampered with'? If yes then don't fix.

If you need to give the phone back to O2/Apple and it's been jailbroken I suggest you smash it up first that way they wont be able to tell you've invalidated the warranty

Hi mate, we have Iphones for company phones and Im currently on my 4th one now, when you take it in they dont do any checks regards software etc as long as you tell them its a hardware fault, as the bottom half doesnt work they will do a water test on the Iphone to check if the handset has been touched by water... in the bottom part of the Iphone where you plug your cable into there is a white circle, this changes colour if it hits water, also there is one in the bottom of your Headphone slot (use a torch) and you can see it on there...

But they never plug it in to check it.
