freezing is always worth considering then you can do what you like with them as the mood takes you

When stallholders are selling off their clementines at christmas I always buy loads. Can peel then and freeze as segments. Ideal to add to jellies, cakes, etc for ages after. Plums would need peeling & stones removing, Apples require peeling & coring. Think you would need to blanche both but can then freeze. Some people make fruit leathers (chews) as well which is achieved through very slow drying. Can be done on low setting in an oven.

We had blackberry & apple crumble yesterday and today!!

You can keep cooking apples, wrapped in newspaper, in a dry box in the garage or the like.

Maybe easier to get my sis to bring some. Has a bramley tree overflowing and bushes covered in blackberries which she cannot see. Think problem with the blackberries is that her eyes just focus on the thorns :-D
