What do you mean pay your bill next time and i have contacted o2 about the problemut they seem to be stucaswell, so i just thought someone may be able to advise about what may be wrong. From now on just worry about your own Bills rather than other people's. Thanks. Please note i bought it of a friend and i have no receipt for it.

phone them!

they should send out a replacement and pick up your existing FOC.

Yeah as mentioned above, try friends sim or buy a 3G iPhone pre-pay sim from O2 store.

You may have problem with O2 replacing if you bought of a friend.

If the SIM card does not work, ring O2 as there may well be a bar on the handset itself but they have missed it, you never know your friend may have phoned up saying its be stolen or something to try and do an insurance claim.

Just a quick question should a normal o2 sim card work in a iphone 3G without any problems? Thanks
#9
no i dont think a normal one should but may be wrong there? you anywhere near an apple shop?

maybe you have an old o2 sim card, one which isn't capable of 3g
just go to o2 store and get a replacement usually free of charge, you can transfer the number, etc over to the new sim

I had this problem when I bought a 3G iphone from a friend.

It worked for a day with a normal O2 sim then O2 blocked the sim from being used in that phone.

I suggest you contact O2 on the phone and have a word.

I got rid of the iphone since no one wanted to sort out the issue, in that they would allow me to use a non iphone sim in the iphone.
