Apple iPhone 4 Buyers Thread

Just wanted to share some ideas on people's thoughts on the iPhone 4's price plan/payg costs and options.

Are you thinking of upgrading to it? Getting it as your first iPhone?

Please spare us comments about how you refuse to buy it because "it's apple and therefore expensive" or about how the prices are silly, just looking for ideas on what people think the best deal to get is!

Thanks

I was going to buy the 32GB in white, but I just can't justify paying £599 for a phone, so I think I'm going to stick with my current iPhone & get the iPad :-D

Getting 2, pricing not an issue, just want to go with the provider that gives the best inclusive data package

I'm getting one :) Can't decide between a 16gb or a 32gb though!
Will be upgrading my orange contract to it, and sticking with orange.
I've got access to a f+f code, so depending on whether or not Orange decide to include the iPhone 4 in it, I'll either be going to meadow hall on the launch day to pick mine up or sitting at home waiting for it to arrive :-D

I'm currently on o2 with a 16gb 3G which the contract ran out earlier in the year so pay £20 per month simplicity plan (30 Day contract) at the moment...
I definately want to get one as I have had an iPhone since they first came out but am unsure which provider to go with this time?
I will be getting the 32gb as my 16gb is very full with apps/movies/music etc

One for myself (32gb)
One for her (16gb)

I'm still thinking about it, I have a 3g 16gb atm on o2 so i'd have to pay £200 for and renew my contract for 18 months if I wanted one.

Happy with my 16gb 3gs at the minute and see no reason to upgrade it until I'm due to renew next year.

Your in the same boat as me, none of the upgrade deals look tempting though. Assuming your on the same deal as me then we would essentially be losing out on data and various other perks by 'upgrading' (pic messages are taken as 4 inclusive texts and same for those sent while abroad).

I'm thinking I should buy the phone outright then ask O2 to change current sim to micro sim and carry on like that? Thoughts?

Want a 32GB white one...

1: Can't justify spending £599 on a mobile phone
2: White isn't even available
3: FU APPLE

Still no flash and still no bluetooth file transfer so still not getting one (even if it wasn't a rip off :))

Just out of curiosity, why isn't this in Mobiles?

What's with the picture messages? I really don't know what to do at the moment

What are you currently on? Picture messages will be charged at 20p each by O2 if on any of the new tariffs

oh! didn't know that, so is best option to buy phone outright and stay on simplicity contract?

Same situation here too, except that I went from the iphone simplicity 20 contract to PAYG last month with text&web.

I'd really like an iphone 4 but I'm not too impressed with 02, vodafone and Orange's tariffs. Essentially, after selling my current 16GB 3G, I'd have to stump up another £300+ in new contract or cash for a slightly improved feature set.

I'm hoping Tesco, Three or T Mobile come up with a £20 a month contract in the next couple of days. That would be easier to swallow.
