the 30gb is working just fine. that came with all it needed. looks like a data cable is cheap as chips as well.

Bella most of them are wrong. That is definately a 3rd Gen Nano, and a 5th possibly a 5.5 gen ipod Video.

Please god tell me you're not serious!!!!

The 1st and 2nd generations weren't 30GB, the first 30GB was the third generation, and the 4th and possibly the 5th aswell.

it does have a video facility...did the 1st ones not?

We need a face palm smiley.

Anyways the first ones were out in 2001. And no they did not play videos. Why do some people think ipods only came out a year ago, they are currently on the 6th generation and no, they didn't play vidoes before the 5th.

Don't be cheeky!!! I know they have been out ages, but it's all new to me. I don't do technology normally. hence the thread asking for help.

If it's an Ipod video. How do I actually put videos on to it?
#34
Anyone know? pleeeeeeaaasee....
#35
Via itunes like your music but they need to be in the video folder. Also the video file type must be mp4 in order for the ipod to be able to play it
