Things getting a bit messy for Apple, dodgy screens and now this.

Apple have issued an urgent iPhone software update after attempted hack with 'most sophisticated spyware' ever seen.

Apple has issued a global upgrade of its iOS mobile operating system after a botched attempt to break into the iPhone of an Arab activist using hitherto unknown espionage software.

The spyware took advantage of three previously undisclosed weaknesses in iOS to take complete control of iPhone devices.

An Apple spokesperson said: “We were made aware of this vulnerability and immediately fixed it with iOS 9.3.5. We advise all of our customers to always download the latest version of iOS to protect themselves against potential security exploits.”

I have had the same iPhone for 5 years and have never had the problem you mention.

If that were true, no iPhones would have any battery at all...

Thanks OP for bringing this to my attention. It seems Apple didn't really press me to update as urgently as they should have.

With regards to battery comments, my battery went from 74% to 69% so nothing groundbreaking.

What was the dodgy Screen Issue? My mother had to have hers replaced yesterday and had to pay £99?
