  My 3GS has just decided to explode the battery blew up and apple say thy won't do anything I have to pay for replacment cause it's out of warrenty

  Well if it's just exploded, Apple was very much on the ball saying no to fixing it. That's service ;)
  As its now worthless keep it I a drawer until they do a recall in a few years, just like they did on 1st gen nanos.

  They will offer him a replacement cost, which I would say is fair enough, saying that, all he needs to do is write a letter and see where he gets.

  There's no doubt what they have achieved is very impressive but what I find the most impressive is how loyal their customers are. Truly remarkable.
