NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Apple Inc. stunned investors and the technology industry Tuesday by announcing that it's withdrawing from the annual gathering in San Francisco where the Silicon Valley icon has unveiled, often in dramatic fashion, its most successful products.

"Apple To Cancel 'Macworld'" - I think you got the wrong end of the stick there (as did the BBC), it isn't theirs to cancel. They just traditionally have a large presence at that particular trade show.

Plus it's not exactly unheard of for a premium brands stocks to drop during a recession.......or "credit crunch" as people seem to like calling it.

Its no bigge, as anyone interested may know Apple have launched a lot of their products at 'Apple Special events' this year, Between those and WWDC I think its more of a political thing than any major shake up.

Yes it seems almost as unlikely as them dumbing down their Breakfast news to the point where it's little more than a running commentary on Strictly Come Dancing...............:whistling:
