Milk or Powder? How old is the baby? :)

Anyway you could pack the ready made cartons and while your there look for Enfamil. This is probably the closest to Aptamil you will find with all the Prebiotics etc.

Or if your baby if over 1 you could always start to wean them and use cow's milk?

there is a discussion here...If you will be there long you can order it from Britishsupermarkets. I have always taken my kids milk and nappies on hols-i know most are readily available i just dont like to take chances!

thanks

Actually its for a nephew of mine who is now in the usa. He was here for 3-4 months and and now in the states but Enfamil is not working for him. He is not taking it properly and hes too young for fresh milk. The milk we need is power no. 2.

I am thinking of buying some here nad express mailing it over. Not sure who will be cheapest though !

i dont usually use them but i used parcel2go to the USA and it was around £19 for a pushchair seat so quite a big box.
I used Farleys with LCPs for my son and that was great-dont know if they have that if it is similar?

PArcel2go seems the best bet

Could you elaborate on Farleys LCP ... what is this ?

Thanks

i think it stands for long chain proteins and the health visitor advised me to look for it. I can see now it has another name but its the same problem as aptamil only to be bought from Britishsupermarkets. Have you looked how much they charge delivery? it may be cheaper than parcel2go?

found two companies.
for 6 x 900g no. 2 aptamil milk ... its £93 delivered and £107 delivered.

omg not cheap then? and 6 wont last long will it?

I would fill a parcel2go box with it-maybe buy from tesco.com with codes and quidco to make it cheaper?

Im sure if she has too much she would sell it in the USA

Why cant you buy it here??
If its a case of going through security check, if you flying gatwick i know for fact you can then purchase at the airport from boots.
If you want a fair amount perhaps ring ahead and book some

I would approach aptamil direct and explain and see what their CS is like. Say your willing to pay extra but almost triple like a company online is asking

you cant get aptamil in the USA, i was going on holiday to florida and found out. Emailed aptamil, apparently its a closed market. They only sell formula made in the usa, apparently. I had to take some with me, but ran out and had to use a nestle one. Found the formula there a lot more expensive too.:)
