Are Barcelona crazy? Etoo and 45million euros as well as Pleb on loan for Ibo?

I think they've clearly lost the plot!

How can they be willing to give up one of the worlds most consistantly highest scorers for someone with a lower strikerate and pay an additional 45m euros and a season long loan for Hleb on top of that?

Inter must be laughing all the way to the bank...why couldn't they come up with a similar offer for Adebayor?

totally agree. Ibrahimovic is crap!

Ibrahimovic is the worst striker I have ever seen - I have never seen him chase a ball down, and his strike rate is terrible

how he is possibly worth that is unbelievable

29 goals last season says otherwise

Even thought he's pretty hit and miss, I have an odd liking of him! He's an arrogant git but don't think he's worth that much. Jose drives a hard bargain!

thats what happens when you are Capocannoniere

Well Guardiola has never liked Eto'o and they even tried to get rid of him last year. Even though he is a great striker, he has messed Barca around in the past, including Rijkaard's last season and keeps demanding more and more money. Guardiola sees him as a negative influence and even sent him home from training last year because of his poor attitude and Eto'o has only one year left on his contract so could leave for free if they do not get rid of him now. I do think this is a ridiculous deal and Barca are getting heavily ripped off but I'm sure there's plenty of reasoning behind it and the people that watch Serie A do say Ibrahimovic is an amazing player, but it is a big gamble for Barca.

i've never rated zatalan. What has he done? what has he won? He's very hit and miss as someone said above. I've seen him hit more corner flags with shots than i have anything else. Seems to be hype that's inflating his value. So lets see, eto plus 45mil plus a what....15 million quid player on loan for a season. So he's costing more than ronaldo or kaka. Madness i say. Why didn't they buy villa, a FAR better player.

Totally agree, there's no guarantees that Ibo will be successful in La Liga, whereas Villa in my opinion is probably the best striker in the world at the moment but he's definitely up there with Etoo and Torres.

I wish Arsenal can negotiate anything like this, as we lost Henry for a lot less than this and that's without any part exchange players thrown into the mix.

Don't complain, we just got £25m for that waste of space Adebayor :-D

etoo's contract expiring next summer, he's 30 (Ibra 27), and as 1 of the replies here said, Pep never really liked him..

but I agree, they are paying too much for Ibra

Agree totally with what has been said, Ibrahimovic had his best season ever last season and was the top scorer in Serie A.

However he doesn't score enough goals on a regular basis. Eto smashes them in from anywhere.

A straight swap would of been a good deal, how the hell did Mourinho charm £40m and Hleb?

ArsenalFan you are spot on £25 million for Adebeyor is class, now pray for the £10million from Milan for Bendtner and Wenger can get spending!
Tag Flamini onto the Bendtner deal and let him and Fabregas run riot!

eto is 28 i believe, only slightly older then ibra, so makes the deal even worse.

ibra will be another schevchenko, great for his last team last season, poop this season for his new team, will probabaly end up on the bench most of it..

I think Barca probably realise they need to strengthen their squad for the Wembley game against Spurs.

Guess I'll have to have a friday night away from the pub tonight. Nice to play prestige friendlies..... West Ham are playing West Thurrock!
