Are bunnies vicious?

I wanna bunny :-D. Bunnies are sooooo cute :|. Have came up with cunning plan to brain wash 3 year old into thinking she wants a bunny :-D! Then daddy will buy his princess one. Plan was going well ... taking her into pet shop to look a lil spotty floppy eared bunnies ... personal obsession growing. Daddy decided bunnies are vicious ... that gigglepigs are friendlier and consequently a much better alternative:|. I try to find alternative view points and EVERYONE in the ENTIRE WORLD agrees with Daddy :x !!

Having no personal experience with bunnies I wanna know if they make good pets for small children.

Depends on the kind of bunny you get - any animal can lash out but if it's been handled often there won't be a problem - just dont end up with an English giant by accident like we did!

Guinea Pigs are easier to care for, and hardier, as well as being very docile, but they are not as active as a bunny (but you rarely need to brush their hair or take them to the vets other than getting nails clipped once every few months).
#3
I have both, and much prefer my pigs! The rabbit gets fruity with the puppies and i had to phone the vets once, coz it actually penetrated! OMG cant believe i actually told you this lol.....stick with the guineas :o)
#4
if you handle them from an early age you shouldnt have a problem

You have to get a bunny, it's highly appropriate given that Easter is just around the corner. I suppose it's quite cool letting a gigglepig run riot in the house though.

Had both as a child, loved my guinea pig so much, but I agree bunnies are SO cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at these!!!

I have adopted my niece's rabbit as she grew bored with it and stopped picking him up. Barry is a little vicious he likes to nibble a bit but we are trying to tame him. They do say one that is neutered is much friendlier.

Get yourself a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy, there so cute & will be your kids best friend and play with them all day long :)

Rabbits are generally evil, have you not watched the Holy Grail?

Hares on the other hand, not having ever had one but I knew someone that had two are excellent. Get some belgian hares.

Go for the bunny!!! BUT DON'T get it from a large pet store!!
Go to a small family run place or look in your local paper.
We have had two dwalf lops. They were both gorgeous. I could tell the one we bought from the large store had NOT been used to being handled and I felt so sorry for him because he was so frightened when we were trying to cuddle him.
The one we bought from a lady advertising her rabbits, showed us how they had been handled from being born and were so relaxed and cuddley.

DO HAVE IT NEUTERED!!! My male bunny used to spend a lot of time in the house and started to be obsessed with me!!! He would try and mate with any part of me!!!...leg...foot....knee. When I sat against my sofa one day, he jumped onto the sofa, onto my shoulder and started ******* the side of my head!!!!

get her a stoat

there the perfect pet
#32
:o I think stoats are pretty vicious. A step away from a ferret?

Puppy is a no no have fluffy teddy bear of a cat who got so panicked when she saw my parents dogs she did a wheel of death round the greenhouse before hanging herself upside by her tail from tomato strings.

The frisky rabbit thing putting me off a little. Sweetie said the same ... his bunny and the boy cat used to have relations.:o

Seriously consider a hare, if you can find a breeder they are worth while.
#34
JDeal hares make me feel sick. Ever since I helped with some research with Hares and Ticks. We had to look through bags of dead hares and count where they had ticks. They had lots of pussy sores. There was a joke that was common in the lab... no need to elaborate.
#35
Why not settle for a nice cuddly stick insect?
#36
ChrisUK and Lulu'sMammy, both your staffs are well cute. My g/friend has one, he's a year old black/brindle(only a tiny bit of brindle) and he's such a rascal :giggle:

most bunnies are ok but the ones to watch for are the one`s with either a sawn off shot gun , or a glock, now they are right little devils :whistling:
