Doubt it because they're a budget airline.

If it is very slightly over (very very slightly) they might let you get away with it (but i doubt it), and anything noticeably over, no

I take it this was an ex GB Airways flight?

NO WAY! they will charge you for whatever your over or ask you to take stuff out
#4
if you are a bit over wear all you can and carry heavier things in you on board allowance - you can take it off when you are onboard

woop ive just finished packing for my holiday, we r allowed 15kg and mine is 15.3...they shud b fine with that id say

i hope so, if there are lots of business men tommorrow with no luggage would hopefully allow me to be a bit over weight.

as much as you say that they're only allowed a set weight anyway otherwise they wouldnt take off which is why they give a 20KG allowance it doesnt matter if own the only baggage in the hold if they would have to allow x amount for everyone. but i dont think they'd do much for 1KG over. It'd be less then £10 if it was anyway, and just bring a carrierbag along with you incase they try to charge you.

You're allowed 5/10KG hand luggage.

Easyjet - you are allowed as heavy baggage in the cabin as you want, long as it fits within regulations and the easyjet baggage thing at check in.

After seeing this, I just checked on our booking. 2 Adults, 2 kids. Gone for 2 hold cases (so 2 x 20KG) though it says 80KG. I'm assuming thats only if we paid the extra for 2 more cases?

What allowance for hand luggage? I thought that had now been relaxed and it was back to 2 pieces of hand luggage each? Just checked on the booking info online and it says 16KG for hand luggage - combined! That doesnt sound right! 4KG each!!!

Luckily, I know I can change the number of cases in the hold (for a tenner) without any further charges for changes.

could you take a holdall on with you? I always do! :)

You will have 2x20KG.

Hand bagge depends who you are flying with and where from. EZY & FR amongst others only allow 1 piece of hand baggage.

BA for example allow 2.

You have a limit of 4KG for hand luggage. That would be a very small holdall!!!!

As header... Easyjet.

did you book it through easyjet? It lies regardless.

baggage in the cabin is as heavy as you want per person (pretty sure there is a sensible limit though), just as long as it fits in the easyjet baggage thing at check in.

Yes, it was booked though easyjet online. Should I tell them they are lying then!! 4 KG does seem a bit silly I agree!

This is a cut and paste jobby..

Hold bag(s) per flight between all passengers combined

2 Hold bag(s) + 16 kg extra weight per flight between all passengers combined

The 4 passenger(s) in this booking may check in a combined total of 2 hold bag(s) for each flight on this booking. The total hold weight must not exceed 80 kg.

I'm going on holiday in two weeks time to Zante. I'm flying wih air Malta but it has been booked throught XL airways.. Does anyone one know what the hold baggage allowance is with these flights.. I have been on the XL website and they say the hold luggage is a max of 15kg per person but the air Malta website says 20kg per person..
I recieved the tickets a few days ago and they have 20kg free allowance but I do not know if this is the hold allowance or a 15kg hold plus 5kg hand allowance...
I'm sure that I have received flight tickets before with 20kg and this was for the hold...

I will phone XL in the morning so that I'm sure as they charge £5 a kilo over..

15KG Hold

5KG Cabin.

It is pretty standard now with a lot of airlines as they go low cost.

"Most destinations offer an allowance of 15kgs per person (not including infants). Whilst you can join your allowance together for the entire party, your per person allowance must not exceed 15kgs and you must make sure that no individual bag weighs over 32kgs for health and safety reasons. If it does you will be asked to repack at the Airport."

"Hand baggage must not exceed 45cm long x 56cm high x 25cm deep (approx 22ins x 17.7ins x 9.9ins) in dimension or 5kg in weight."

I have phoned XL airways who comfirmed that on a Air Malta flight I will get 20kg hold plus 5kg hand luggage with no extra charge not that I will be using the full allowance..
They said that the weight allowance printed on the air tickets is for the hold.. Hand luggage is never included in this.. I don't know if this just for XL or for all airline carriers... The tickets where issued by freedom flights..

On returning from malaga last week, two women in front of us at the first choice check-in had a combined suitcase weight of 56kg. They got charged 26kg overwieght charge at €9 per kg. This was about £190 and they wouldnt receive their boarding passes without paying there and then!

They were being very strict with everyone. The womens flights were less than their excess baggage charge.
