Have any of you peeps had any experience with the courier company "Parcel2Go" or another company that is relatively cheap.
The service i require is for the courier to collect AND then deliver to my address.
I am basically looking to buy another printer from a seller on E-bay, but the item is 'pick-up only', located down south yet i am near York so emailed the seller and they said it would be ok, so if i win the item i need to find a good yet cheap courier to collect/deliver and so far these seem to be about the cheapest.

Has anyone used this company or can you recommend another??
The total weight wouldbe about 12kg if thats any use

Thanks for any help with this

used them 3 times very good.
I found out that as I live so close to the DHL depot that after the booking on line I left it about 3 hrs then rang the parcel to go number and I was given a secondary number as I said I would like to drop it into the dhl depot on my way to work and bingo didnt have to stay in all day to wait for a pic up:w00t:

I've used them more than a dozen times with no probs - picked up and delivered on time every time, which I can't say for some of the others. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Used them many times before. Very good service. Had a bit of trouble when they charged me twice, but got my money back after a few days.

Ditto here, I always used the 48hrs option and every single parcel I sent was early, great company, highly recommended.

Unlike Parcelforce, I sent 2 packages, one was lost and the other arrived 2 days late! :x

Yeah, i thought there was some tie in to them and others to be honest. They are fighting for work at the mmoment and P2G have been the cheapest i have found so far. Did look on DHL website but could not seem to find the option i wanted which was to collect from ebay sellers house and deliver to my house!?!?!...plus site seemed like a minefield to navigate around.

if something goes wrong with parcel2go, then it's time to worry as you'll end up going round in circles with emails and their awful live chat.

As for alternatives freightsearch.com are getting good review on the moneysaving expert thread.

i've just used them for the first time and will NEVER use again!

i sent my xbox away for repair, wrapped in 1" thick bubblewrap & the box packed out with extra cardboard. when it was delivered there was a slight crinkle on a corner of the box, nothing major. once opened though it turned out that it had been dropped on that corner smashing the faceplate and cracking the console case. they only give you 14 days to put in a claim (from original pickup) so had to wait for it to be sent back to get photos. sent them all off with proof of value. claim started yesterday at 13:26, ended at 13:39. they wont pay out because the goods were signed for as in good condition! i cant believe how they can say that as the DHL driver wouldnt have stayed til the box was opened!

so IF you do want to use them then make sure when the parcel is signed for you also write that it is damaged because if you dont them you cant claim! they also wont pay out if you write unchecked!

Trying to track a parcel that hasn't arrived at its destination, no tracking details left with the collection note by the dhl driver, will report on how well they handle the situation.

Don't Xbox use UPS and you don't have to pay? Why did you use P2G?

Debatable how alive live help actually are! Spent the last ten minutes looking at the tracking details, still waiting on them to come back to me as to why it's been awaiting further instructions for the last week.

I understand the final answer won't come in ten minutes but it would be nice to know that they've seen it and have acknowledged it and are doing something about it.

it was out of warranty so M$ were going to charge £100. getting it fixed by someone else cost £40.

Complete joke, my customer has been waiting over 2 weeks for delivery now. According to P2G they attempted delivery but didn't leave a card so my customer had no way of knowing they had a parcel to collect. I asked if they would refund my customer the delivery charge and offer an apology to make up for the delay but they said no as it's not a guarenteed service! So it looks like they think it's ok to leave it 2 weeks, not leave a card and not bother to contact me if there was a problem. I left my mobile number as requested so you'd think they've have called me seeing as for the last 9 days the tracking says awaiting further instructions!
#17
used them loads of times never had a problem every single time parcel was delivered next day even tho i only paid for 1-3 day service and have never had an item damaged by them

I used this service to send a parcel within Europe. Total scam, they did not collect on time, did not contact me to rearrange a collection, did not want to offer an upgrade for my parcel to be delivered on time as they use different companies to collect. They did not want to provide the number for the collection company to try to contact. Customer service only on a useless chat, not possible to talk on the phone even if one of the "supervisor" said - we have plenty of phones here - when I asked in support chat if they had a phone line to be contacted.....
If everything goes OK you have been lucky with this company, if not there is zero support, you are on your own.....

I take it back. My parcel just arrived.
#21
Well, to be honest. I've just received my parcel, despite having "Parcel problem, please call 0845 270 9888" come up on my tracking screen, which is good.

I sent a golf mat to France;P2G used Parcel Force who claim that the mat was delivered and signed for;I sought help from Parcel Forc
e;they refered me to P2G who claim there was an address issue thus conflicting with Parcel Force;impossible to get assistance.I have used P2G for several U>K deliveries o.k.
#24
I have used them twice for urgent deliveries, and on the first ocassion they cancelled the collection after the parcel had been collected thereby delaying delivery and on the second attempt they took 8 hours to notify the courier. This meant the pickup request was made after the deadline. I will think long and hard before using them again.
#25
I used P2G, never again! They delivered the items but one was smashed, I claimed they told me they didnt covet the item I'd sent, even thought they knew the item I was sending. They offered a good will gesture, which was a derisory sum, most of which was a pre pay amount to be used when using P2G again! No never again.

This is a wholly biased website for "FRUSTRATED CUSTOMERS". So, totally POINTLESS!

Gives no idea of satisfaction rating, as only negative reviews are wanted.
#27
Do not use parcel2go or My Hermes unless you want your precious item badly damaged, and then no telephone contact number to contact them on...they should be banned!
#28
Try contacting parcel 2 go when you have a problem and only then u=you will realise what you are made of. Your patience will be tested to its extremes.
There is no customer service number anywhere on their website which tells you a lot about their customer service or rather lack of it.
when you finally get to their live chat help ( that is a exercise on its own, trust me) one agent is handling multiple customers at the same time and you will get messages like " I wont be a moment" or "Can you give me a minute or two" before disappearing for 4-5 minutes.
in my case I sent a parcel on 9/9/13 on a 24 hour delivery vis UPS from parcel2go
I was contacted by the customer that they have not received the parcel on 26th which is when I looked on their website where my parcel was and it seemed it was returned to shipper and signed by steve on 11th. when I asked who this was I found out it is the parcel2go office address in bolton. They have my parcel for 15 days and they do not even bother to contact me. if you try to send a parcel the live help screen will pop up offering help, but try to contact live help when you actually need "help" they are no where in sight. they tried to blame me saying it is bfpo address which they do not send and ups send the item to them to which I said you should take a leaf out of their book and should have returned it back to me when you could not deliver. anyway cut to chase I got £10 credit coz I did not give up. I suggest you do the same if you experiencing any probs with them.

AVOID this company! If something goes wrong, Parcel2Go make it as difficult as possible to contact them and will make you jump through as many ridiculous hoops as possible in order to try claim compensation. Eg. they want you to provide proof of pick up and non-delivery even though they have all this information on their tracking system, they even rejected a receipt I had for my purchased item as proof of it's value! They do not have any contact number, email address or street address on their website - a clear sign they do not want to be "annoyed" by pesky customers who have had their packages misplaced / stolen. Will NEVER be using this company - you are better off booking direct with the courier who will likely have better customer service and better insurance protection in place.

It must be the number one award winning Delivery Company in UK for delivering lies and stress to their customers. They claimed that my garage is closed and not trading therefore parcels cannot be delivered as in fact I'm in from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm and receiving parcels from the other curies to the same address every day. I was patient for 14 days sending them directions pictures of the place and calling to theirs' premium number, you could get snails for the job and they would deliver it quicker. Everyone starting "online chat staff" and ending senior managers will lie to you and feed you promises but they have not got a clue what is going on. After 14 days the sender had to go to Bolton to regain his parcels as they kept promising next day delivery to London without even knowing where parcel is located.in the end sender had to deliver it himself. My advice to "Lies2Go" in future just take a payment and tell people to deliver themselves. Worse experience in my entire life. If you up for some high quality stress"Lies2GO" will deliver it to you day or night.

I've used them around 8 times. They were pretty good until they lost my parcel. I purchased an item of eBay and used them to collect item. I checked there tracking service after a few days as parcel hadn't arrived. They claimed that the parcel was delivered and left in my porch way. I live in a terrace property with no porch. Disputed it with them and they ignored my messages. They are good when they don't loose your parcels, other wise I wouldn't recommend using them with valuable goods
#32
!! Avoid this company !!

They have lost a brand new laptop sent to my cousin in Europe. It was full insured for £400 and now been 3 weeks and no response to my claim. LIVE Chat is the only support they provide and they keep cutting you off. No telephone of email support.

I'm now considering small claims court as I'm £439 out of pocket

Have used p2g several times (Hermes) and have had very good service. This time I booked a Yodel pick up, got a confirmation text that it would be picked up by 7pm and waited and waited. Certainly the first (and last) time I will use Yodel. I know it's near Christmas but just be honest if you can't deliver the service you are paid to do.
#34
Well I finally managed to get the compensation as I insured the parcel. They only started communicating after i lodged a case via small claims court and that cost me £35.

I will never use them again.
#35
I should of read the comments about this miserable company before I did that stupid mistake to trust them. This is the worst company ever.Real crooks and big scam. They said they lost my 20kg parcel.I gave them receipt and proof of collection, pics of my parcel, tracking number, barcode ID number, hell even I gave em and the drivers(courier) name and after more than a month nonsense chat with them, they told me that they have no responsibilitys and my parcel is lost. Beware!!!!!!

PARCEL2GO- DO NOT USE THEM

Parcel2go currently owe me money for a parcel they damaged and are refusing to pay even though I have been advised by Consumer Lawyers that they are legally obliged to do so. I am now in an ongoing, boring and time consuming situation of trying to get my money back, which looks like it may end up in court. Don't use them.

Incidentally I also paid Parcel2go £15 extra for "insurance" that they said I needed because my item was worth more than £50. I have discovered since then that this is a scam as under consumer law they are obliged to refund damaged items regardless of whether you have taken out their "insurance".

Disgraceful service and a shocking disregard for customers.
I have spent the last few days tearing my hair out at the overall incompetence and disgraceful service I have been receiving. My parcel has still not materialised at the recipients address, I have been lied to, I have had live chats terminated without warning, I have had Facebook comments ignored. Requests to be called by me have been ignored and at one point I was told point blank that nobody would be able to talk to me. I have been told that despite a service being called Yodel 24, it actually means it's a 48 hour service, clearing designed to mislead and quite possibly a breach in advertising standards. I am astounded at the complete lack of consideration given by Parcel2Go to me as a customer, and astounded that any individuals could behave like this, almost certainly this is a company wide culture.
Companies with such disregard for their customers should be shut down.
#38
It took 3 months to resolve my issue and ONLY after a lodged a case with small claims court. I don't think you will get anywhere with them otherwise. I contacted them daily for 2 months and still no resolution.

Take them to small claims. You can do this online here is a link I used Online claim porcess

I thought that I would try Parcel2Go as the prices are great and there were a lot of good reviews posted on the website, however, I missed a full day at work to wait in for a parcel that was meant to arrive between the hours of 8AM - 9PM and no one arrived! I then spoke to a very rude representative the day after who promised me that it would arrive the next day but yet again, it did not and they did not even have the courtesy to ring me or email me with information about the delivery. I had to call them again, using their premium rate number and get it re-booked, the representative told me that it would arrive a week later if I re-booked it. I have had to get a refund which took almost a week to go through - a lot longer than the payment, of course! Only to find that they had not refunded me the correct amount. I am not happy at all, please, anyone reading this, spend a bit extra and go with another company - they are NOT worth it!

Rubbish customer service and won't pay on claims for loss or damage use interparcel cheaper and full cover on loss and damage
