  I have been looking at the exact same deal on the 32lg2000, it has a very good contrast ratio of 15:000-1 and i have been told its a good tv.. for the price you cant really go wrong...
  
  i wouldn't buy a polaroid though.

  Yeah, I'd go for quality which would have to be the LG as they have improved immensley over the years and are now producing one of the top 10 best branded LCD TV's.
  
  Polaroid have just started in this field really.
  
  My brother and friend both have the LG in 37" and it is very very good for the price, features and quality.
  
  Good luck with your choice though.
