I Don't Think I'd Really Want To Know If Someone Was Sleeping With My Relatives
Let Alone It Be Told On The Radio!
Bit Harsh On Their Behalf I Think!

Although I've not registered any complaints as I don't listen to them, I think they went way too far and it was not remotely funny. Given Jonathan Ross is very quick to sue others for similar issues I think he's somewhat of a hypocrite to carry out this sort of practice.

against, how would jonathon ross feel if russel brand had left him answerphone messages telling him he'd slept with his daugther and then broadcast it on radio
banned#4
but thats the type of comedy (evolution of comedy for the youth)
#5
Seems nobody cared until the newspapers got involved. I dont want them to go, but I dont agree with what they did.
#6
think the whole thing has gotten out of proportion..... was a joke gone wrong and if the girl involved was that embarrased would she have confirmed to the press that she had slept with russell?

At last, a Russell Brand/Jonathon Ross thread.

they didnt specificly phone to tell him he slept with his grandaughter it just seemed to slip out, a prank gone slightly wrong.

Never heard it, but think they where way out of order, i cant even understand why anyone would class it as humour

Bad joke taken too far. People just jumping on the bandwagon. Let it lie already!!
#11
IF you listened to it..it was funny! and im not a kid.
Stupid all over nothing, The beeb allowed JR to insult people on his TV show-so where was he supposed to draw his line? and the Satanic sluts are sooo enjoying the publicity-poor shy retiring girls they are.
Andrew Sachs-watch Fawlty towers...he was insulting in the name of comedy.

All **** really am fed up with hearing about it-its the Beebs loss RB is funny and human. Nice guy who will be employed anyway-just in the USA.

hubby listens to russell b every wk and says he nearly wet himself,i think they should have got into trouble but it has gone too far,no way was 27,000 people listening who would be offended by this at 11.30 on a sat night, only people who like it would listen,so they are all complaining and they have not even heard it

Easy to say it was a joke gone wrong but then I think how I would feel if that was my father they called and said that too.

We should be asking why the Beeb are paying Johnathan Ross £6 million a year ??

Is it the Beeb's profit's it comes out of OR tax-payers money ?? :?

Heard summat "interesting" on fivelive today
Those queuing to sit in the audience for two live shows this week, show 1, Alan Titchmarsh Show, show 2, Never Mind The Buzzcocks

Show 1 - majority said not funny, offensive, these in the main were folks of a slightly older generation
Show 2 - majority said funny and amusing, and they were younger and who would listen and be the target audience for Brand and his style.

Not heard it, not seen it, heard too much about it already but i'd not like the message being left on my answerphone, those with kids on here, ask yourself the same

Hold on, there's no need for that kinda exaggerated font quote :-(. I don't want to hear it, yet it has taken over the air ways and media all week. Surely there is bigger news. I only posted to show the divide between the age group, that was all and said i hadn't heard it :-(
I don't need to hear anything tyvm, quite happy in my own little world.

well it took tem 1 and a half minutes to say what they did, so hardly just slipt out, and had it been left at the one call then yes, but they didnt and took it too far

Don't know how anyone can defend this.

Two middle aged guys leaving numerous offensive messages on the phone of a 78 year old.

They should have both been sacked, good job for the idiots Sachs didn't want to take it further.
