They aiming to get it there for day of release to customers.

Argos will endeavour to deliver FREE on the launch date using 1st Class Royal Mail. However Argos cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery if there is a disruption to postal services outside of our control.

dunno....its argos tho so i highly doubt they will be on their game to get itout for day of release tbh

i would either go with shopto and get it a few days early or go supermarket on day of release someone is guaranteed to have it for £30

I order from Game, they usually here for release, but occasionly when a game as been out on a Friday,I've received a fw days before,it's random really.
Anyway the 20% off preorders is making Argos the best price for several new releases.
I'd rather save £6 or so and get on the Friday or Satursday, but then I probably wouldn't have the time to play it soon as it comes,so am patient and can wait.

just pre-order with shopto

they always send out their new releases early as they only do games and they realise the importance of getting that new release asap.....usually 2/3 day before official date ime

unbeatable for new releases although not the cheapest

Cod4 wasnt £30? cod5 was because the rrp was £49.99,

COD6 IS 54,99 so how do you work out it will be £30 in supermarkets?

Not like i care, get your hopes up but it wont happen  minimum £35 in supermarkets but i still doubt it on this game VERY VERY MUCH.

I'll bookmark this thread tho just to gloat on release date, as i love to be right :)

It will be xmas and supermarkets compete for trade by slashing margin to get people in. Like ASDA selling WAW for £27 in the first week.

The rise in RRP is irrelevant as supermarket will buy in bulk and pay the same wholesale price as every other game.

the buying power of the supermarkets is second to none, they have hundreds of branches and the buyers would of been tuned into this 1 with all the hype.......they know full well that games retailers and the likes of hmv etc will be pricing around the same and will make huge sense to them to blanket the major press with a low release price for such a popular game as they know from the cod5 it drags a lot of new customers in

anyway we'll see when its released:)

to be fair that deal only ran for a few days.

I paid £35 for cod 4 god knows how long after it came out, it didnt start dropping everywhere until fairly recently.

I've pre ordered mw2 prestige for the night goggles, I just couldn't resist them and if they are pap then with a bit of luck some poor sap will pay crazy cash for them on ebay.

still, it was only a week at one chain of shops so the point still stands, cod 4 took ages to come down in price.

Actually took only a week. Maybe Supermarkets or even GS will do the same thing again and have it for £25 for one week just after launch or at least before xmas.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/174144/call-of-duty-4-ps3-23-49-delivered/

Also was available at gameplay for £30 just after release with £5 voucher.

lol you just don't give up do you.

for a start that is just for the ps3 and if you read the thread they ran out of stock a few days after it was posted again making it pointless.

Furthermore cod 4 was released on 9th november 2007, that thread was started on the 22nd of april 2008 which is slightly longer than a week.

again the point still stands.:-D

COD4 MW was always going to be game of the year (£49.99rrp) and was £40 on release

COD5 WAW was never going to be because its just a version of COD4 but with rubbish guns(£39.99rrp) and was £28 on release

COD6 MW2 will be game of the year before its even released. with rrp of £54.99 HOW WILL IT BE £28 IN ASDA??????????????? So MW2 is £15 more expensive rrp then WAW, Pls tell me how you work it out to be £28/£30 in asda? You cant say RRP is just a made up figure Or they would use £40 or £45 or £50 on every game infinity ward release.

Do you maths and stop getting your hopes up. Im being helpful to you here and suggesting those that are holding out to save £5 in hope asda do a deal again are kidding themself. pre order it for £35 off argos asap, Because it will be SOLD OUT everywhere on release guaranteed.
