Having placed an order some 4 weeks ago for 2 new Sofa's, and being told the items were in stock (and paying for them immediately,) I have been called today to be told they will not fulfill my order.
Now knowing that Argos have a reputation for doing this, i made sure I called them, every week, from day 1 to confirm that there were no issues. Everytime I called, the same response, they'll be in in the next few days.
I finally call them on saturday and funnily enough the order has been delayed till early September. Why?? They don't know.
So they call me today and tell me they can't get stock. Why not? They don't know. Why did they tell me they had stock and not deliver that stock? They don't know. Do they have a live stocking system? They don't know. Do they have a contract and have an order placed with their supplier for mine and the other orders placed from customers? They don't know.
Their answer, you can change your order or you can have a refund. No explanation, no acceptance that they have a problem with how they take orders, and they will always take the money up front before they confirm your order, unlike a lot of companies who take money on despatch.
Your customer service and the service your company supplies is a disgrace!
