Need a bit of advice,
Ordered a vacuum Vax Mach 7 from argos (406/4781) had it about a week & then got rid of the box as it was a very big box n in the way. A couple of days later the vacuum become faulty so called argos up & they said they could send a replacement but the vac would need to be boxed up for collection i explained i had no box so they said that they could send a new one out & then arrange a collection an i put the old one in box the new one comes in.
We got the replacement on Tuesday & the faulty one went back yesterday.
Come to use the new vac today & it sounds like its a car revving it engine very badly. So called Argos back up & they said that they had no more in stock so i said i would like a refund. She said she could arrange a collection but it needs to be boxed. I explained i dont have the box & asked about taking it to the store & she said it would need to be boxed as well. An basically has made out to me that they wont take it back unless its boxed.
Its one of the biggest vac's i know 10KG. An the only box i know big enough is the box it come in!!
I dont know any where i can get a box big enough for it!! Can argos really refuse to take back faulty goods with out a box?
