Reserved a tent at Argos yesterday. It's gone up in price today. Can I argue that I reserved it at another price or will they always stick to this:

4.3 The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following two exceptions:
a) For products reserved online for store pick up or any other reservation service the price you pay is the price in store on the day of collection.

They will stick to it I'm afraid.

you might be able to if you print out your order

i know that following that clause you can't, but i remember people arguing a borderlands/brutal legend deal in store and the store just followed it

Is is cheaper delivered if you use the 15% off code? Worth a check maybe.

No it's not.

Gone up from £22.49 to £29.99.

The only reason I waited was because some guy at work said he had a £10 voucher that he could give me. N00b

Helps much appreciated

argos honoured the reserved price of a ds lite for me last year even though when i went into store it has increased. No harm in asking

I was previously a sales mgr at argos and i would always override prices for genuine nice people, not people who demanded - it just got my back up ha ha!
So try and play nice :)

I reserved a Wii Fit Plus game on Monday that I saw on HUKD at £12.99.
When I went to pick it up on Tuesday they said it had gone up to £16.99 but because I had reserved it at the lower price I could have it at the lower price.

The Argos I use the staff are really nice :) I get same price as reserve price from day before (just recently a lawnmower went up £20) and they honoured it straight away for me without me asking. They also carry stuff to the car for me.

Brilliant bunch :)

Its nice to be nice - i would always go out of my way to help people who were kind
And at the end of the day, it makes customers go back if they get good service.

I've noticed the prices have gone up today, wanted to purchase an item that I saw for £19.99 2 days ago but the price suddenly shot up to £39.99 today.

Yep this is why last night I ordered what I needed, as the prices seem to have been hiked, and the code I wanted to use expires as well I believe.

I got it at the reserve price!!!!!

The manager just checked that the item was at that price yesterday (from what I could tell, they had done it a few times on camping gear today) and let me have it at that price.

Many, many thanks to all- nearly didn't bother.

You reserved the item, not the price, so I am surprised they allowed it.

I picked up 2 things from Argos today that had both gobe up by 30%. They just adjusted the price and I paid the price I reserved it at.
