Does anyone have the md email address or office address? And does anyone know who the md is? My daughters bed/mattress which is a week out of the 1 year guarantee needs replacing or fixing as all of the springs are sticking out from the mattress. We have complained to Argos Customer service who say that as its a year old, we need to get an engineers report of the mattress to show the fault and then send that with the mattress to them! Dont think we will do that for a bed that cost £130!

yeh think its been getting worse, only noticed it when my daughter said two weeks ago she was in pain and that something sticking out from the mattress. Then I realised, never would have known until she told me
Afraid, I have to agree with Argos.
AFAIK after six months, you have to provide proof that the item has a inherent fault.
Not the best answer I know and I can only imagine the anger.

everything has at least a years guarantee - let them know that -!!

argos are 1 of the worst companies i have ever come across when you want to complain

keep on - ring customer services constantly and make sure you take names / times etc every time you ring
at least twice a day -

My daughters bed is a shorty mid sleeper, I dont sit on it so had no idea about springs. Also, its a shorty mattress so I cant just replace that as no where sells shorty mattresses - its a whole new bed and I cant really afford it.

I know they prob wont do much but if I can get a name of a the MD or someone higher up the chain than customer services they might offer some additional help.

Dont buy any spring fitted mattress for childrens..They are cheap and will affect them. Buy dunlop.
Will be complaining myself about the customer services of this company. They don't have a clue. I phoned to find out they had the wrong delivery address for the item I'd paid for in advance, and they amended it wrongly twice.
don't buy nothing under guarantee from argos we bought a vacum cleaner it broke down 3 times and we left it in the shop. it's the most stupidist place to sell or buy your own products the staff are stupidly thought and there mentally retarded.
I have been waiting a month now for a delivery and after numerous phone calls i have been told they would get back to me and they didnt so now they say i can expect a call soon( They wouldnt say how long) with a firm delivery date. At first they told me i had only ordered yesterday. Then as the new catalogue has come into play its changed everything. Thats a joke i didnt expect.Its taken me a lot of phone calls and more inconvenience than i want right now so after this i will reconsider ordering anything from them. It seems complaints are not dealt with properly and from the letters here people are fobbed off with silly demands. the only way to treat these shops is to stop using them. As with all things voting with your feet is the only thing that works. As for waiting at the back door for them to come out, its very annoying so again buy elsewhere.
I have also been waiting a month for a delivery from argos, made a number of phone calls which they stated I would hear a delivery date in the next few days, received a phone call to say I would not be getting my order due to the suppliers, not happy as they had my money for a month & why wait a mouth before contacting me, I will complain higher & will never use them again.
ordered a cooker arrived took the old cooker when I undone the cooker it was damaged the handle on the grill department dented in the middle and also dented in along the right hand side of the cooker telephone 10 mins after the delivery people left this was on thursday they stated could not deliver another cooker till the tuesday even though they had taken my old cooker. They arrived on tuesday made them unwrap the cooker only to find that this cooker was even more damaged. Delivery driver call the office they then said could not deliver another cooker till Monday a complete joke. Cancelled my order and told them I want a complete refund. I will never order another item from Argos never!
Ordered a dishwasher , received confirmation from Argos via email of delivery date and time so I removed the existing dishwasher on the day of delivery (and broke the pipe in the process - but no problem , the new one was on its way). I called Argos to find out when I could expect delivery within the slot and was to my shock, told that the item was now out of stock and therefore would not be delivered atall and that they had no idea when the item would be delivered or when they would get stock back in. Argos took the money from my account on 30/03 and gave no indication of the item being 'out of stock' on their website where I ordered it , had that been the case, I as a customer would have simply ordered another one or gone elsewhere - its a dishwasher - who cares. Requested manager callback - no callback - demanded money back - told manager will arrange when they call. Shocking.

i bought a dvd player from you at 19.99 worse dvd player i have ever bought and you dont even have a website to complain proper you are a poor company and not bothered about giving customers deal for the money just bothered about taking the money its not right or fair and you need to stop it take the dvd whats black and at 19.99 off your stock ya a rip off argos and you are not worth any penny
I bought a shower from argos at noon on friday - the engineer removed my old one and when he held the new shower where the old one had been the space was too tight so it could not be installed. I returned it at 4.30 the same day (there was a bit of water on the outside of the outer bag from the floor).

The nasty woman would not take it back saying it was used and had water in it. LIAR. IT COULD NOT BE INSTALLED. I contacted "customer service" the woman kept going on about 30 day warranty and I said it was out of the store 4 hours she said it was at the discretion of the store.

So they took £230 of my money, I have a shower in a box and the family have no way of washing. I contacted Mira who make the shower (they are lovely and helpful would recommend them) and they confirmed all showers are tested before they go in the stores so water is in the unit.

What can I do, I am shaking with rage, have no shower and no money to replace it. PLease help with any advice at all. Argos have literally stolen my money and told me to shove it. Is this legal???????
argos laptop 400 pounds key pad not working only 6month old, argos told me to phone hp help line,cost me over a tener i phone calls for to tell my key pad waz not working seid they sent me one out and said i cound fix it joke as if i could take laptop apart . when down to argos with it.and said just give me an other laptop .No u had it 6months they donot last why sould i have to fix alappytop which is only 6 months old.
i bought a washing machine from argos on the 11 of november of november from a family fund card to later find out it wasnt in stock and they wont give me my money back they keep saying a gift card will be sent out im still waiting i will never order from them again.
I ordered from argos on the 29.11.12 and told delivery for the bed would be 6.12.12 between 7 and 12. 12 came no sign, so I phoned them up and gave all the details on the receipt and they then told me there was no such order. I was fuming at this point and told them I wanted a full refund right now and compensated for my trouble. They then got a refund sent to the store where I ordered and said a £20 voucher will be sent through the post. Went to my store to get my refund to be in there 40 mins due to the incompitent staff not knowing what their doing. After 2 phone calls they were able to give me my refund and said the reason behind the cock-up is the item was placed into a hold area and accidently forgotten about. I am fuming. No phone calls no letter and I have wasted my day. What a load of bull sh*t. I will not ever be buying anything that requires delivery again. And for the £20 voucher, well we will see won't we! Argos 'customer service' seem to be specifically trained as con merchants - we bought a netbook that was faulty in various ways including a sticky keys and a mouse pad that was unresponsive. We wrote to them via email and they said take it into the store. Twice we took it in and they told us to call the number (that they clearly profit from) and absolutely refused to accept it was faulty - "That's not a fault" was their mantra to every fault I listed. LONG story (of rude, insulting and farcically surreal debates with the Manager and two people the Manager rang) short, the third time we took it in we got a full refund - thanks to the website, we found details of our legal rights and printed off a copy of the Sales of Goods Act 1979 - and we also printed off a copy of Argos's own Returns Policy which clearly outlined our right in this circumstance for a full refund. Armed with this and an adamant refusal to go home and phone the number (!!!) they very politely agrreed immediately to follow the Law. During this craziness, a good soul within the store told us that the staff had been told to refuse refunds on all computers. It certainly felt like they were simply stonewalling in a totally unashamed way. I got the impression that it was policy to push it as far as they could until a customer demostrated that they knew that they were breaking the Law.

Dont phone their number - get armed with the Law!

Bought vouchers £220 some years ago through Lloyds TSB. Thought they were lost found them on 2nd February. Unfortunately not valid after 1st January 2013. Month out of date. Tried to find way to email. They asked for details not applicable. Found Stafford address which I will try.. Rena
Purchased a vacuum cleaner from Argos using my card. Their paperwork says 'Nothing to pay for 3 months when you spend just £50 or more on your Argos card. Ask in-store for details or go on line'. I purchased the item in November 2012 and when paying with the card asked the girl on the till if I get 3 months interest free credit. I was told that is correct. I am a senior citizen on a tight budget so was pleased that I would not have to pay the total amount until February 2013 and by then would have saved enough cash to pay. I later received a staement dated 6th December 2012 telling me I must pay an amount of £3 by 31st December and the estimated interest for that month would be £2.59 equating to 29.9% per annum. I phoned customer service and explained that the cashier confirmed I would get 3 months interest free credit. I was told that to qualify for 56 days interest free I should have purchased the item the day after my statement date! Nowhere on the paperwork could I see this information. She told me I had been given the incorrect information by the cashier and she will make sure that all stores are made aware of the terms and conditions regarding credit. Not good enough! I was offered a £5 voucher for the inconvenience. Not good enough! I was told to write in if I was not happy. I struggled to pay the full amount of £74.99 by 31st December by eating less and heating less. I wrote to customer service 4th March and guess what? No reply! Am just about to follow it up with a letter to MD.
todays date 01 06 13,ordered and paid for mattress 6 weeks ago,agreed today as delivery date,texted by argos yesterday and given delivery time 10.30to12.30 ,failed to deliver,phoned argos at 12.30 ,spoke to stroppy geordie woman who made me feel it was my fault for them not showing up,argos service once again fails miserably,useless company,wouldent p!!s on them if they were on fire,sooner they go out of business the better

I have been using argos for a long time, today is a very disappointing day when I tried to replace a heater which is bought by my wife 2 month ago, its started triping and was not working, so we went to argos in charter place (Watford). The lady served me checked the heater and even though I have mentioned that its trip after every 15-20 min, she said it fine and she is not going to refund it or replace it, I went to the manager (Mr. Giles), and he said if its look not faulty we dont take it, in other word customer whatever he said in the store is not correct we do what we want, then after some arguments with me, manager went to my wife and refused to serve her and said to her that he just had argument with your husband and i am not going to serve you, my wife disgusted with managers behaviour and left the store. Argos is the worst in customer services, I would advice all my friend and relatives to dont go to argos as they have route and racist staff everywhere.

I am also trying to contact argos to complain , short story is brought a bed jan , not a cheep one and since having bed been eaten alive ( didnt think it would have anything to So with our nice new bed ) I was so wrong turns out it came with bed bugs , we never had this problem before . Only just found out 8 months later after having to move the bed . Now trying to contact them as need to replace bed headboard and carpet to get rid if them.

i bought a washer 6 months ago. chose it because my daughter had got one. complained from the beginning it doesnt spin properly. engineer been out twice. dida test spin. said was ok. phoned twice and been put on hold for 15 mins both times. went to store and rang from there. manager at store got thru 4 me and wasnt left on hold. was spoke to as if i had senile dementia by a woman called donna. said to pay for my own engineer because they wont send anyone. i bought all new white goods last yr and a suite and spoke to like that. im writing to md with a complaint of how i have been treat and spoken to. totally disgusted.
Just brought 50 in hibachi smart tv . The stand by button on the remote is stuck , after many. Phone call,s Argos can replace it in ten days or fix it in 14 I don't think this is right I offered to take it back to the shop where it was purchased an pick up new one but was told I can't 10 days with out telly glad it's not christmas .have told them to keep there tv and i,l buy one somewhere else you have been warned
How do I make a complaint against Argos customer service department,
My granddaughter has been waiting over 2 months for her birthday present.
This item was in stock when ordered on line, paid for end of September 1 week later informed item is out of stock. Given £5.99 voucher, to say sorry 5 weeks later still emailing and phoning regarding her birthday present. Changed her present because her birthday present was still out of stock 5 weeks later, offered to pay extra £5.00 so we could we make my granddaughter happy. Argos offered to pay the extra £5.00. Promised to send her present out, 1 week later still no present, phoned argos to be informed the item had not been sent out. Promised this item would be delivered with 7 days. 10 emails and 5 phone calls and now my emails are no longer answered. Argos say her present was sent out on the 22nd November, I have asked customer service to please check with royal mail where this item is, Still waiting 5 days later for a reply. Can you please give me some information as to where I can take my complaint to. Thank you.

Completely DISGUSTED with Argos. I am disabled and needed a new bed and sofa so i looked on the web page and found a bed and sofa so i paid for both to be delivered next Wednesday 18th December. Last night at 19.10 i had a phone call from Argos informing I WONT BE GETTING My sofa until January 2014 which will be 3mths wait. Told them to stuff it and return my payment for the sofa to which i was told it will take 10days to refund. Now i am completely buggered for a sofa over Christmas. I have phoned there customer services only to be kept on line waiting to speak to some one after waiting and listening to that irritating music for 1hr and 20 minutes and at a cost of £26.00 On a mobile phone i decided to send an email thats when i got the call about the sofa. NO compensation No Vouchers sweet f a from them. Argos broke there terms and conditions. So i have decided to seek LEGAL Action against them. ARGOS ARE A JOKE BADLY RUN AND THERE CUSTOMERS SERVICES STINKS.
philad1 was it a sophie sofa bed because if it was that has been out of stock since November 11th. I know this because I ordered one on behalf of my mother in September, with delivery date set for 12 November. Sadly mum passed away unexpectedly on the 4th Nov. I phoned argos and asked them to stop the order, they told me they couldn't with out a death certificate, which I wouldn't of been able to provide in time. So I asked for it to be delivered to an alternative address, but they wouldn't as it had to be delivered to the card holders address. On the 11th Nov they phoned mums home phone whilst I was clearing her flat and told me that the sofa wouldn't be delivered the next day as it was not in stock!! I was flabbergasted..........., bearing in mind that they had taken the money for this order out of her bank account in Sept. Eventually they agreed to refund the money to me, now here is the rub, because I had closed mums bank account, they had to send the refund to her account, the bank sends it back then they re-issue the cheque to me. Argos told me that they had sent the refund to mums bank on the 28 Nov, The bank said no they haven't, and told me to ask argos for the reference number of the refund transaction. Argos told me that they DO NOT REFERENCE!!!??? their transactions, and the bank needs to call there finance department so they can argue it out. The bank said they are lying everything is referenced, and argos needs to call them as they where the ones who sent the payment. I now don't know what to do. It is not even about the money any more but more the principle of it. I shall write to the head office address that was mentioned earlier, and see if I can get any where.
