Bruce Forsyth has been awarded a knighthood for his services to entertainment ( 69 years in the business ) and charity work.
Think this is well deserved and not sure why it took so long when less deserving have been awarded them in the past.

I hope I'm as active when I reach 83.

He is sooo awful, I do not like him but I know loads of older people do, so well done Brucie.

I think I would be happy to go long before 83!

I'm not that old lol, I grew up watching his generation game and have fond memories, he is a consummate professional. Think my 78 yr old dad would disagree with you re 83, he still walks 15 miles 3 / 4 days a week, his life is full of activity and he enjoys everyday.

He probably is a nice enough guy, maybe I need to wiki him! I am not sure he deserves it more than others, unless there is some reason why TV peeps are deserving. Is it because they are famous?

The age thing for me - if I was able to enjoy life and friends and family then I think it would be fine to live long but there are no guarantees.

Services to entertainment, what entertainment? All a load of bull if you ask me.

The ones I don't get is allister cook getting a MBE. Yeah granted he had a good ashes series but surely you have to do more than that!? Same
with lee Westwood. Strange choices.

The honours were exposed as a farce when Trevor McDonald was knighted for having a job as a newsreader

In my days knights used to ride on horses with a shield and a long spike.

The whole " Honours " system is a farce.

Most of these people that receive them are well paid/ over paid for what they do, that should be reward enough.

Dun't he deserve that......not

Well done to Brucie. My Dad would also disagree about the 83 years old comment. He's also 83, full of life and gets out more than me!
