A friend of mine has a LOT (over one thousand) Arsenal programmes from 1949 - to present day. I can sell them on Ebay but neither of us has a clue how much we should be asking. (He is a massive Arsenal fan and some of these were his dad's). Anybody out there able to give us any advice as to price or where else to sell please?

also try looking in the scum matchday programme as the spurs one always has details of people looking to buy rare mags, try a auction house mate as some of these may be worth a few quid rather then the silly money you may get on ebay, if all else fails ill give you £10 the lot and use it as bog roll lol

FOr starters mate, any programmes you've got going back pre- 1960 are worth a small fortune in their own right. As for the ones dated 1949, for a league fixture you're looking at at least £15, then depending of the condition of the programme, significance of the game etc. ie. Mint condition FA Cup 6th round ... or say in your case the 1949 arsenal v spurs fixture, then the sky's the limit.

Give you an example, I purchased a 1947 portsmouth v aston villa programme a while ago, and felt myself very lucky to score it for £12ish...
Just to re-iterate any you have from the 50's previous, don't underestimate their value.

He has about 1000 from 1949 to present day.
I 've listed three on Ebay and had loads of questions and lots of watchers. I've been asked for lists of what there is and if they can buy them privately so I'm going to see how these ones go. My friend has said I can have 30% of what they sell for! Will have a good look when he gives me a list of what he's got and see where the best price will be.
