London,Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Dublin

At moment only doing it in a select few pubs in citys mentoined, But they want to make it avaliable in more places in spring:thumbsup:

Also people with sky+ HD will get it for free, But think you need TV capable of 3D

Be us in 3D next season playing Man Utd:-D

Does that mean Mr Wenger will get to see something at last ??? lol

Had to think why they were doing it down in London, then I thought the majority of united fans are there anyhow.

I have some of those crappy paper 3d specs, do you reckon that'll work with the SKY HD 3D feed?!

No that confident of getting automatic promotion:-D Got to say at start of season would have been happy with mid-table finish, Now will be a bit annoyed if we didnt make play-offs

I had one heck of a headache attempting to watch Avatar at IMAX, apparantly it is quite common.

got a list of venues?

It's not 3D - its forced perspective - very very different.

i want some of that but sky wont reveal which pubs are involved i aint walking round manc all day trying to find it ,any info greatly received

I reckon it might be in the Printworks or the Sports Bar

What I don't get is according to Sky they are having special 3D tv's put in these pubs just for this game.

It then goes on to say with the forthcoming 3D tv's becoming more popular then a special 3D channel will be set up on Sky.

I don't get the 3D tv bit and does this mean that all the plasma's and LCD's will be rendered useless when 3D takes off.

I thought you just wore a pair of stupid glasses not have to change your TV.

Eventually in 5-6 years if it takes off yeh will be smaller channels I guess using the old formats. Or Maybe longer who knows.

Didnt channel 4 do something recently with Derren Brown that had 3d things in? All you needed was 3d glasses apparently?

Great minds and all that I can't find a workin number for the sports bar

Tried to phone too. One number is a dead line and then i tried this from a web site called Beer in the evening. You have to phone this no. 08721 077 077 and then punch in ref 4282 # which is the ref for Sports Bar, but it keeps saying the line is busy.

I wear glasses also but I have found the 3D at the cinema to be fine, the glasses they provide have ample room to allow you to wear glasses, its only the crappy red and green ones which are rubbish but that 3D technology is lame anyway
#26
I can't see 3D taking off personally. Sure it will be good for a while but I think it will become boring. Could be wrong mind!

It would be interesting to hear why channel 4 could do it wth with Derren Brown but yet Sky say you will need new equipment. Suprise suprise. Probably will cost £5 per month to have anyway!

Can't see the point in it for the spectator to be honest, but might prove useful in detecting divers. I wonder why they started with this game? :whistling::whistling:

Can you imagine Rooney's mug coming out the screen towards you when he dives. Going to put punters off their pints if you ask me.

How would it prove useful in detecting divers?

And they probably started with this game because it's between 2 of the biggest clubs in the country and will attract a large audience. HTH guv anytime
