Asda Home Delivery = Useless

GGRRRR Ordered my shopping online on friday to be delivered today between 10-12.... Still not here rang the call centre and they said well it is shown as being loaded onto the truck, let me just find out what branch it's coming from...... Swanley (15 miles from my house) I then asked why it was coming from Swanley when my local store was less than a mile from my house he said "I don't know locations because i'm in South Africa". Waiting for a call back since 12.30pm.

Wish I had googled it BEFORE doing the shopping!!

You're not far from me :)

Same with my Waitrose order few weeks ago, came from Tonbridge when there is a store in Sevenoaks 5mns from where I live!

Hopefully it be with you soon - was thinking about trying Asda as they have some good deals at moment, but my sister said her Asda delivery was 1/2hr late this week too so will have to bear that in mind when booking slot!

I (unusually) ordered from asda this week, order was 30minutes late with no explanation. 2 items were missing (but charged for) and the way the shopping had been packed meant the bread rolls were flat and a yoghurt had split over the other yoghurts.

Emailed them and they refunded the missing items and said they will make a note of it on my account so hopefully it wont happen again, still no apology.

Much better customer service from tesco, waitrose delivery, ocado or sainsburys

I don't use ASDA, deliveries always late, crap food quality, especially fresh, cheap and nasty and mess ups on charges.

I use Sainsburys after giving up with ASDA budget price=budget service IMHO.

I used to use sainsburys because the customer service is so much better, but last few shops I had with them had LOADS of substitutes so have stopped at the moment. Mainly using tesco, thought I would give asda another chance, reminded me why I dont use them!

Just got a call saying the driver has returned to the store as he couldn't find my address on his sat nav, hhhmmmm how about a phone call to ask where it is then??

I`ve had similarly rubbish service from Tesco home deliveries.

I placed an order and they claimed no-one was in to take the delivery, but they had gone to the wrong house (my house shares a garden with a neighbour, but both are clearly marked and are 50 yards apart).

Re-arranged delivery (which they tried to charge me for!), and asked if detailed instructions could be put on the delivery note, so the driver couldn`t get `lost` again. The `helpline` (ahem) operator says "no problem", so I spend 5 minutes giving directions.

Next day I spot the delivery driver attempting to deliver my stuff to my neighbour (again). He showed me the delivery note, which had a special instructions box, but it was blank. Then again, if the idiot driver couldn`t read house numbers I don`t imagine he could have read directions (assuming the idiot helpline operator could remember to input them).

had same service before xmas (posted on here) , didnt turn up was due at 10pm not one phone call, after finally numerous calls they said the driver couldnt find the addy and went back to store.
after being passed pillar to post they wanted to delivery my food at 1am!! told them to get lost, they said they would re-pick the stock and deliver 8am nxt morning.Guess what... they never turned up.

Finally they turned up at around 1pm the driver came in his car lol,i spoke to head office - received a free delivery code (wow) and £25 off my next delivery - i will never use them again.

All these stories remind me why I abandoned ASDA long time ago ans will never go back, sure everyone else has a few issues with online shopping, but ASDA takes the biscuit..

I've had excellent service from Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco. Sainsburys are particularly good, if they miss the 1 hour delivery slot by 1 minute you get £10 voucher.

I would say in their defence, if you get a bad driver, just like some people have a bad postman, it all goes wrong very quickly, and until that person leaves, it cant change.

Luckily I have a good postie and the asda delivery men are good at their job, have used them several times, and each time they were very good.
I have also been lucky with various delivery companies, not had the battered boxes or such either.

I'll second the biscuit joke LOL - new promotion - you'll order one pack and we'll deliver one pack but we'll charge for four!

(Asda) My 1 pk biscuits arrived half an hour late (no phonecall) and receipt said they delivered 4 (and charged for). Also he forgot my stamps and baccy *rollseyes*. I have an Asda 5 miles from me but apparently they cannot cope with delivering here (I'm not THAT horrid surely LOL) so it has to come from mega store some 30 miles away.

Tried Tesco last week and bar a few substitutes it was ok (driver gave me loads of freebie alpen bars).

Well it finally turned up at 3.30pm with not so much as an apology! Won't be using asda again so no need for there free delivery voucher..... It's really annoying as I ordered it for that time slot so I could go out afterwards....
