I've used it. been ok for me. but when looking online I forget what I want.

Also im picky about buying fresh meat and fruit and veg I like to see what im buying rather than some pciker just grabbing any old rubbish off the shelves.

I usually use Tesco, but occaisionaly used Asda when they have relevant offer and found them easy to use. The first order always takes longer, after that you can click on things from your favourites list which makes it quicker.

I only like to order heavy items and store cupboard goods.

Not so keen on buying meat and veg this way though (usually get delivered from organic supplier).

Shopped with both and in my area both are superb.

I agree about the vegtables and meat better to choose your own unless it is mince or chicken breasts.
Asda tend to give more value with their vouchers (In the voucher section of forum) and delivery now is £3.99 at all times. This is giving you a 10% saving on your groceries in real terms not including any deals you might obtain on a £50 purchase

I only use online shopping for heavy/bulky items, eg.

20xbottles lemonade
24xcartons milk
24xcartons fresh orange
cases beer etc.
The delivery bloke hates me! :w00t:

I use asda home delivery , i think i may still have a free delivery code in an email actually . Only advice i can give is, make sure you type in " PLEASE give me chilled food with long dates on please" as even i order i end up with my fridge full of food which needs to be used with in 48 hrs. !! Theres a section when you pay i think which says any special requirements.. put your message in there. It does work my last shop had better dates!!

Doesn't that milk/juice go off?

My local asda is not very good with deliveries (although, I have got one due now....) and we only use them about twice a year.

fruit and veg not very nice so we only use them for frozen/tinned stuff etc, also get a lot of substitutes.

I think it depends on your local store though, and other people in my area have had bad experiences, but I have seen people on HUKD happy with asda

No, long life milk lasts months as does the juice.
(just looked at carton in cupboard, exp jan 08).

Just got the shopping and the receipt confused me, shows the amount to be taken from the card and hasnt deducted the delivery charge. Says at the bottom that this has not shown on the receipt but will be taken off before the amount is deducted from the card - so dont worry :)

i dont even live 8 miles away from my 'local' store on the wolverhampton road in halesowen. i keep missing out on all these coca cola and cheap whiskey deals. when i do go to the shop, they NEVER have the offers on in there anyway.

Same happened to me - Not great for us though considering we can find vouchers like that on HUKD anyway :giggle: good for customers who dont use this site though!
