cpu and mobo £84.99 inc VAT delivered
and not inc heatsink and fan

E2140 £40.89 Inc. VAT at ebuyer

E2140 £38.48 delivered at Scan (using free delivery dodge)
on a deal of the day, usually 2 times a week this price

hold on...seventh son of a seventh son needs turning over to side 2...
2 mins....

vinyl sweeet!

So... that means you're paying for an oem CPU and paying £46.51p for an Asrock mobo... sorry motherboard,
(when will bill gates put in the multiple cut paste memory I keep asking for)

£46.51p for an ASROCK crikey, its hi-grade MATX Asrock but as who ever knocked up the pairing knows the E2140 is good for over 2.9GHz in the right hands,
getting it better than a

it is wether the board has the cpability, there plenty of cheaper boards that will clock it's finding them out, check reviews, real reviews are good but check reviews on dabs and ebuyer etc

short version - this CPU is a standard OEM (no cooler).
Get a quality cooler with good PRO reviews (this time don't trust buyers review)
trust 3dgameman.com and the like. don't scrimp if you want horsepower
£12 OCZ vaquisher or Arctic cooling 64, size could be a factor, some use UFO coolers but watch big capacitors.
Mobo is the factor, can you be arsed to find one cheaper... I can't (be arsed)
'they are out there' like Fox Mulder says.
If £97 is ok for the pairing and you like the ease then it's ok,
but if you like the thrill of the bargain chase (you are on hotukdeals remember),
then track MATX down.

Just saw U asked case wise,
I have to say get at least an 80% efficiant PSU,
it will save at least £15 a year on electric,
if you use the PC 12 hours a day 6 days a week.

Antec do them from £40 delivered with a case too!
or £26 on their own,
check here see what power you need to push-
http://www.extreme.outervision.com/powercalc.jsp

If ur cheap, quick to scan deal of the day, naff case with PSU £13 spend over £20 for free delivery.
or £8.50p for a cheap PSU and free PSU tester, gr8 eh!
and get a case with a CPU tube, like the Akasa Zen or Antec 4400 4480.

Make ur own sound damping foam and stick it to inside, ask an audiophile.....
no not wacko or gary glitter.....
music lovers know the score eggbox theory and all that.
(hard but absorbant material with spikes to absorb/bounce sound waves)
SHOUT in a bathroom and it echos, shout in the same bathroom with carpeted walls its duller.
