Astraweb/Grabit Problems?

Just got home and all the NZB's I'm trying today are going excruciatingly slow!

Anyone else having this problem? Normal browsing is as fast as ever, I'm on o2 broadband, joined last week but had them at my old address for a year, never had this problem before? Am I being restricted in any way?!

No issues with Astraweb here. Will be your ISP throttling at this time. You could always try a router reset just in case.

had problems with o2 yesterday, stated they updated the firmware and there is a bug and trying to fix it,.
They also said router might turn on and off a few times in the next couple of days

No problems using astraweb with altbinz, depends on what astraweb subscription u might have, or try unplugging/resetting modem.

4 restarts later! - seems to be a bit better now but all the connections aren't maxed out, but getting about 70-80% of speed now

Try a different port? Enable SSL if you have it?

Don't know if that'll help but I'm downloading something through Astraweb right now and am getting max speed.

Only other thing it could be is throttling or some sort of technical problem with the router/line as suggested above. Would contact O2 and Astraweb if it persists for a few days if I were you - just to make sure it's not something wrong with the service you're getting from either of them.

You say you've just moved. Your line might not be as good as your previous premises.
I got o2 and astraweb all is normal for me.

Connection here is actually 1mb faster so not too sure, just quickly tried a torrent and that seems to be fine, and have tried changing ports, hmm.

If I do ring o2, do I mention problems with Usenet or not?! lol

why not? How long has your connection been up? It may still be in it's bedding down period

I'm using Astraweb and GrabIt. I changed ISP about a month ago, and I got 8meg speeds round the clock. Now I'm limited to 1mb every evening which is a complete pain, and I'm using SSL. This is on BT's "unlimited" package - jokers. Even Tiscali didn't throttle my connection.

I never had bother with newsgroups when I was BT, torrents and other p2p they hammered.

You could see if it is a problem with Astraweb by signing-up for a 3 day trail with https://accounts.usenetserver.com/register/?lang=en for only $3 or their is the a 14-day offer.
