AUX Cable in Vauxhall Corsa?!

£0.00 @ vauxhall
I found this (see 1st post) underneath the central console. Can anybody tell me what it does? I think it might be something to do with an AUX cable. Hopefully it is anyway as this is what I need.…

Are there no other uses to it?

no other uses for it apart from downloading information or uploading software updates to the cars ECU.

Hmmm...

Is there no way to plug an AUX cable into the corsa then?

I'm not sure what this is...

It's a 12V power supply you can fit to the car, kinda suggests that in the description really.

The first photo is your ODB2 port.

The other picture looks like it will go into the back of a factory fitted head unit, Do you have the link to where you found the photo, i can review it then,

The 12v-Auxiliary-Power-Socket is a kit for you to install another 12v socket in your boot... ie the socket to charge a mobile, sat nav, or cig lighter... nothing to do with Audio.

also... when you quote "AUX" are you wanting an audio jack or IPOD adapator ?

Cheers

Rick

thats for an rcd300.. ie a head unit in VW cars.

just had a quick look for a solution for a corsa, but without a cd changer port you may have to change your head unit.

Hmmm, it wouldn't be worth getting a new head unit. I guess CD's will have to do :(

Depending on how much you would be prepared to spend. Would it not be just as easy to get a Parrot CarKit installed with Ipod connectivity? That way you get Handsfree but also get line in and ipod charge cable.

Think it would be easier in your case to get a new head unit..

This is coming from a guy who is right now making a iPod dock out of re-mouldable plastic for my VW lol

I have the exact problem you are talking about. Did you ever find a way to connect an ipod or iphone to your corsa other than using a product such as tune-it radio which only allows you to play songs over a radio frequency...?
