Went to see avatar (with my new chick) at the weekend.

Had to be 3D and had to be VIP seats...

And it was a mind blowing moment...

I don't know what to say, but it is one of those times I will never forget, and will reflect back on as the movie experience of the decade...

Loves the film, loved the story, I actually felt part of the film and the emotion.
Cameron certainly worked hard on this one..

Go watch, but get good seats, and the 3d makes a difference.
If you download and watch it with a camera image, you are spoiling one of the best experiences of the decade...

Anyone else with me on this one???

bad storyline...???

Ok, fair enough..

I was not sure about the story line before I went to see, but thought it was very clever, and I completely got it..??

I got it, I just thought it was a bit naff - but I am a bit weird in that way.

Each to their own I guess x

all ive seen is the trailer. Let me guess, a bloke, an army bloke fighting aliens, gets plastic surgery so he looks like the aliens? then he befriends the aliens, shags an alien, then fights with the aliens. is that it?

had to watch in 2D (left eye not good enough to be able to watch 3D stuff), was good but far from blown away

thought the technical aspect of the film was mind blowing-actual story was terrible tho imho. Cameron has pushed the boundaries but if only the actual film had been more entertaining he would have done it all. Its all cinema trickery over actual content imho-if you watched this in 2d you would probably think it was rotten-just my opinion tho.

dont agree with numpty about the road btw-it wont be everyones cup of tea,its bleak and there is no happy go lucky story there but it was the perfect adaptation of an amazing book-think you really need to be in the mood for a film like this tho.

Its a film I definately want to see at the Cinema. Unsure if it will be the iMax though.

I loved it, but thought the General was naff, too clichéd and the guy that ran the base used to be in friends and My Name is Earl, so couldn't take him seriously.

The special effects were mind blowing and you just got dragged in and forgot you were watching special effects.

I liked the spectacle of the film but the yeah the storyline was terrible and the message it sends out about looking after the planet was disgusting; considering the amount of energy and resources it took to make the thing..........

Agree most mind blowing film of the decade or least since the original matrix. Sad though that when this hits blu Ray 3d won't be half as good. Although both Sony and sky have confirmed proper 3d with clear glasses for 2010, possibly Christmas. Rec everyone to see this amazing film. Most amazing point although strange....... Towards the end of the film, the wheel chair bloke legs gets very thin? About attention to detail. I had the same when I busted my leg up months after. Maybe I relate to it.

Ermmm.. This planet does not need saving... It has a very fine balancing mechanism that is working just fine at the moment. Global Warming... - Just look out the bloody window... lol

3D - most certainly not the future of cinema if Avatar is the movie to show how it should be done.
