Great customer service from B&Q!
My husband complained that his chuck had disintegrated on his hammer drill....after fixong it twice, we decided to look for the original receipt to see how old it was.
We bought it October 2006 for £49.99 and still had the receipt so it was within the year warranty.
He just took it back to B&Q and was expecting them to say they would send it for repair, but they told him to go and get a new one off the shelf.
Fair enough, new for old, good deal...but, they didnt have that one in stock any more, so they said he could get another model and pay the difference.
Even better deal!
So he selected another which was £69.99 expecting to pay £20.00.
Took it to the Customer services, and they said there was 15% off all power tools which meant the drill was now £59.45.....great deal too!
Now he expected to pay £10.46 for the upgrade.....
But they just did a straight exchange!
Result....a new upgraded drill with 2 years warranty starting from today!!
Thats customer services for you...shame I couldnt have run it through quidco!
Wonder how long he will have it before the chuck disintegrates .....
