I have two daughters who I obviously think are beautiful but so do friends and passers-by who always comment and ask if they do child modelling.
Does any know of any agencies that they can recommend for baby & child modelling and also any experiences you may have had...
Cheers

This kind of thing was on Northwest Tonight last night. People are getting conned because they play on the hopes and dreams of parents. Basically, don't pay anyone for photos and promises. If your kids have what you say then the agency will pay you!

children are ment to be loved not to be exploited for dreams and money , why dont you treat them like normal children then when they are old enough they can choose if they want to model, please don't take this the wrong way i am not having ago at you

A girl I used to work with went with her children to an event that was advertised in the local paper, looking for child models.
This agency agreed to take her children onto their "books" and took 3-4 pictures and charged her £250 per child.
The childrens photos were put onto a web site about 3 years ago and she has heard nothing since?
She contacted them and they came up with all sorts of excuses, never had any offers of "work" for her children.
So be carefull?

There is a LOT of scams around regarding this, Most ask for money upfront, take a few photo's and never see them again.

Plus, some of the pre teen modelling posing can be, shall we say, raunchy, i was reading an article the other day on it. I certainly would any of my future kids to be posing like that.

I'd steer well clear to be honest.

Chimmney sweeps will be back in demand this Christmas, once the fuel bills go up, get'em working then.

There are many news articles on the problems. There are some sick, evil people out there that need castrating hung and burnt!

Did anyone see A Touch of Frost the other night when Frost smacked the paedophile one, i was cheering, he deserved it.

the baby modelling market is a very competitive market and saturated at the moment , I would not expect you to get your hopes up too much.

Best thing to do is to try a few local agencies

Hi guys & gals, thanks for all your replies some appreciated some not... some of you have made assumptions that we (My wife & I) as parents want to profiteer our children. This is not at all the case any monies earned would go into their bank accounts, also we have a very well balanced family life but the experience would give the kids different situations to react to and would be more of a life lesson rather than child slavery... hope this explains things a little.

Okay, you never asked for opinions, you were looking for information so sorry about that.

I just firmly believe that children should be allowed to be children. If you let them out to play they will learn all they have to from their peers. When your children are grown up then they will learn about "life situations" we get about 10-13 good years of childhood and them we have to join the real world. Why rush them into it prematurely?

Each to their own though.
