You want to go to tabacco town in Belgium (Adinkerke) this site is a very good guide to it.

Apparently in France 200 B and H are £38.00. ( Bit steep!!) So like some of you say I am wondering if it is worth it. We were only planning a day trip thing and the idea was to pop over to Francais ad bag some bargains. Cant seem to fin out what the story is in Belgium tho!!!

I agree, but problem is you are limited to what you can take out, including into Spain. We brought 4000 B&H's and three 5litre bottles of Jack Daniels back into Spain a few years ago. Customs at Gib into Spain couldn't have cared less.
I'd fly to southern Spain and stock up in Gib and fly back from Spain.

I thought Greece was the best place. If you're going outside the EU I believe you can only bring back 200 cigarettes, and because of the trading rules which originally founded the EU, you can bring back 2000 if you're travelling withing the EU.

Otherwise you can always try markets in England. A stall on Brick Lane were selling 20 packs of Marlboro's for £2 a while back.

.

You can actually bring back as many ciggies as you like from most EU Countries, as long as they are for your own consumption.

Customs & Excise will not question you on amounts up to 3500 ciggies per person, over that they may do.

Turkey, The Canaries, Jersey are not in the EU. so limit is 200 per person.

Not all the eu allows 3500-Hungary didnt-it was 200-but this year we brought what we wanted without a problem-i havent checked if customs allowances have officially changed but some people had a massive amount in the duty free there when leaving!
They worked out approx £16-and you can fly ryanair from Liverpool or easyjet Luton among others-flights from 10p-if you can go anytime?

I don't think customs allow if you're buying loads from an Eastern European country because of exploitation...

massmail666
why not just buy them online?

Because they're not very cheap online, and if customs detect they're cigarettes, you get charged import fees
#24
Just another tip, if buying in Spain, do not buy at the Duty Free or Supermarkets, buy only at the Tabacs, fixed price, always cheaper.

In what way is it exploitation?

Avoiding exploitation more like!!
#27
My thoughts as well, it is us in the UK that are constantly being exploited, not just with ciggies either.
