dont just assume it is just back ache - you have been sick as well - get yourself down to A& E -

could be kidney stones - etc -

hope you get sorted

omg i never thought of anything else really i was on nhs 24 website but they just ask if the pain is travelling to my abdomen or up and down the spine. i feel as if i have a ball just below my left shoulder blade but the pain just really travels to my neck.. the sick feeling i have had for the 2 days but this morning was the first time that i have actually been sick,

If it is back pain, you might want to go and see a physio. It might cost about £40 but believe you me it could be the best £40 that you spend. But make sure you see your doctor first.

i hope you went to hospital and hope all will be ok

All they will give you is a course of Diclofenac (aka Voltorol) & tell you to take 1 x 3 times a day with some pain killers.

I was in agony a few weeks back, couldnt move at all for a week, then took another week to slowly get moving again. Everytime I moved it was like someone was twisting my spine - not nice at all :(

hi

thanks for all your replies, went to the docs at 8.30 ( long story) but i have a kidney infection and she does suspect kidney stones as she said there was a lot of blood in my urine( cant see a thing) got painkillers and anti b's just need to wait for the results... wasnt that helpful, she said that they need to get the urine results back before discussing anything else further..doctors eh lol

Not a lot for back backs really,my partner got bad back. He takes various painkillers prescribed by doctor,he's had 1 of those CT scans or whatever before and and he's been to physio countless times and tried all sorts what they advised him like Pilates etc, makes no difference.
We buy Thermacard heat back wraps too, they expensive,I buy them when they bogof.

Just mention it cos you female,if you got bad back might be due to large breasts.

Anyway you been so this infection, maybe it's that causing your bad back.

How are you doing now hon?

Kidney infections are awful, very painful and they give you blood in the urine due to the infection so there isn't necessarily stones too, they will just wish to rule that out once they have treated the infection and find out why you got it in the first place x x

I hope you feel better soon, I have had kindney and bladder infections myself so I know the pain you are in. Rest plenty hon and drink loadddddddddddds of fluids x x

Cranberry juice might help too,I take it when I'm getting UTI a lot,GP calls it 'honeymoon cystisis' as we were trying crazy for a baby and that was why I was getting it all time.

the cranberry juice light is even more effective as these cranberry juices you can buy in the supermarket have huge amounts of sugar and the sugars encourage the regrowth of the bacteria... use the light stuff :)

OMG I remember when I had a kidney infection, I was bent over and couldnt move I was in that much pain and my then bf thought I was being a pansy, and said not to bother the doctors untill a week had gone by. But in the middle of the night I was in tears I was in so much pain that in my PJs I walked to A&E (I lived in Bristol city centre back then). The nurses were really nice and one even called the ass to come a pick me up and told him he was an inconsiderate wan***.

Wow, you are one tough cookie waiting till the morning.

Oh right,'ve mainly bought Ocean Spray before if on offer, or like the Cranberry from concentrated in the fridges, they like 3 for £5 sometimes. Not needing any at moment but I was on tablets for UTI every mth litrally,I would wait to find out to take them if I was pregnant or not before taking them as I don't like to take anything if pregnant. I would drink lots of water and cranberry juice to ease it before taking course of tablets.

my hubby got me the cranberry light and also cranberry tablets.. this is the second time i have had this. the back pain actually feels like labour pains lol .. not really funny though

two days of back pain?

I've had over 4 years of it, fine during the day but i wake up in pain every night, i've been to the doctors loads of times and tried loads of different drugs.

I am now resigned to taking 2 strong pain killers every night before i go to bed.

Hope yours gets better quick because i know how sore back pain is.
