I love that Back To The Future ride at Universal Studios California:giggle:

And it's only one line! How did you notice it?

The TV version usually cuts out the best line of all "It's The Libyans!"
#3
I have seen the film in past and have the dvd boxset and have a good memory lol

It's amazing! I went on it when I was very young at Universal Studios Orlando. I got to ride it again a couple of years ago at the California studio too - It has dated so so badly and is in pretty bad condition - but still great fun

Yh they really should update it, but I suppose Back to the Future is an old film and they are probably focusing on their new rides :-(

Unfortunately they have closed the BTTF ride in Orlando, to make way for a simpsons ride.Hollywood and japan are also apparently closing there rides soon.

The BTTF ride will be better then any ****** simpson ride

I love the film, one of my great childhood memories. I cannot see the point in making any changes to films or cutting any context. An older film if good needs no adjusting. I would never watch Its a Wonderful Life in colour or A Christmas Carol (Alistair Sims). Although I was not aroung then, I appreciate the films as they were made. It just adds to the atmosphere.:-D

I loved that Mummy ride! It went backwards and forwards! The Jurassic Park ride was great as well!

I watched some of the BTTF movies when I was younger but I've completely forgotten about them now! That professor guy was funny though.

Yep it's gone from Hollywood- we were there in mid Oct and the Simpsons ride was being built- Apu's Kwik-e-Mart was open and sold Duff beer!

I don't get this business of cutting things out, the scene was set in the 50s/60s when people would say things like that. They'd not cut out the Germans shooting British soldiers in a WW2 film would they!!! The best cut-out ever was watching Home Alone 2 on ITV a few xmases back. There's a scene where Kevin throws bricks off the roof that hit Daniel Stern in the face- they totally cut this out, so the scene was: Daniel Stern shouts up at Macauley, Macauley shouts back, the camera returns to Daniel Stern looking dazed and with several large brick-sized marks on his face. TBH it worked- I didn't throw any bricks at anyone all xmas day!

If anything, the BTTF films had a forward thinking view on PC behaviour- like the black mop boy saying he'd become the mayor in the future, to the laughter of his boss, when the audience knew he did become the mayor in the 80s.

I noticed that too, it was on ITV2 last night. It's bloody stupid. They also cut the name of the squadron leader's black labrador out of The Dambusters. History is history, no matter what way you cut it/censor it. Shall we censor the word 'nazi' out of all historical records so as not to offend Germans? What about banning all images of the swastica? Censoring all swearing out of all movies?
Nah, I ain't having it. History is history, movies should be shown in their full context. If you wanna use the watershed, then use it. But all this PC BS is annoying in the extreme. Actually, BTTF WAS on after the watershed :x
Yeah, cut offensive stuff. But not words that are in a completely different context. A dog's name has nothing to do with racism at all, when it is featured in a WW2 film. Utterly stupid.

edit: BTW, the board filter blanked out the name of the black labrador. Even though the name is a matter of historical record, based on ACTUAL fact. Let's get real here. You can't blank out everything that is distasteful, like it never happened. Annoying, I tell you.

Also, an example of double standards and hypocrasy. Anyone watching Bad Boys 2 on channel 5? The bit where Reggie comes to the door? The bit where Will Smith says the word "******" twice in a few seconds?
Sheer hypocrasy.
