Fell on my hand a few weeks back, and 2 of my knuckles became swollen. Anyway, even to this day it hurts, and can't do anything strenuous, such as clinching, or hand shaking. as the pain is fairly unbearable - but can type and all that just fine. Can't be chewed to go to A&E either because i just expect them to tell me to just rest it - which i have been doing, to an extent.

minor injuries unit???? faster seeing people than A&E and it is only a minor injury not an emergency

You can't go to A&E now, it's not an emergency and it's over 72 hours old - that's at my A&E anyway, is it the same everywhere? If you're at all concerned about it I'd go to the GP, but I broke my two a year ago and didn't bother, there's nothing they'd have done unless it was falling off... Probably the same for your hand. Try strapping it up comfortably tightly and laying off using it for a few weeks, as if it were broken.
