Interesting fact: There's no such thing as bad luck.

However, you may just be about to prove people wrong

Well I think people that are negative, pesimistic or keep thinking negative things attract bad luck.

My friend came over from Europe on Holiday to the UK to spend time with us during New Year's eve and also had planned to go around the UK for the next few days.

He bought a car (People Carrier) which was given to him a week ago. Also he bought all the Eurpoean and UK maps for this trip for his GPS.

Yesterday he left his GPS in the car and his window got smashed and the GPS was stolen.

I guess the GPS is annoying but the windows is a pain and also the make of the car is a weird make which is not very common here in the UK so AUTOGlass can not fix it until Sunday the earliest.

He was suppose to go in his trip around the UK today.

So last night he asked me if he could park in my driveway which it has a very narrow entrance by the way, so he parked there and I blocked his car with mine.

This morning I came to work whlist they were still sleeping and guess what they just rang me telling me that when he was taking his car out he just scratched the whole car against one of the doors of my narrow entrance.

I don't know what else to tell my friend, how can I support him any more. He was already down with the window and GPS and now this.

A few things that he has found out is that:
1. His european Courtesy Car will not give him one in the UK
2. His GPS warranty will give him a replacement but once he is back home (how is he going to get home without GPS?)
3. The main dealers on his Cars here in the UK have not got that window available.
4. One of his credit card is being declined a few times now.
5. He has to pay for the repairs and claim the money once he is back, but reading at the small prints it says that they only cover €150 for urgent repairs. But to repair the windows will cost him around £220.

He might have to cancel his trip to the UK at all just because someone stole his GPS that once he reports that it has been stolen it will be disable.

So missing a few bargains I don't think bad luck mate is just a bit unfortunate.

I think my mate has had a bit of bad luck and when this happen on the 1st of January for him it makes it worst he is now thinking that 2009 is going to be a really bad year for him and is only looking forward to next year 2010.

That's why I think you have to stay positive all the time even when things are bad, if life was easy then I guess it would be kind of boring. People need challenges, ups and downs to keep them motivated and specially to appreciate all the good things that we have and most of the time just take by granted.

So how's your door? OK I hope:thumbsup: You'd be really lucky if he hasn't damaged it with his car.
He must have used up all his luck by having the P Carrier given to him.

@Asandino ^^ dude for your own health I hope that was copied and pasted.

On karma: I really love My Name is Earl.

Don't believe it though.

I'm too much of a realist to believe in karma.

I don't know i heard a couple of soldiers died abroad and 60 odd people died in that night club in taiwan, burnt to death apparently. So count yourself lucky you selfish ****.

I can think of a million other things that I would count as "bad" before missing a few bargins!!!

YOU really must of done some bad things in your life to receive such bad luck!!

lol seriously its the internet its hit n miss if you get the really good bargains

get out into the shops if you wanna be sure to get what you want

bad luck certainly amounts to more than what youve posted how about those people killed in thailand at new year or the people suffering in gaza...

Bad luck! Don't get me started, felt like I've had the most unlucky month ever!

My cat died, then my gran died, her boyfriend (con man) stole all of her money and remortgaged the house, her next door neighbour emptied the house, my dla claim was rejected despite being obviously entitled to it, my mothers been quite ill, my drains are blocked and have to pay £300 to get dyno rod out, I've had a cold for 2 weeks, my Quidco's regected £80 =[ I could go on and on and on! This month has been hectic but it all makes you a stronger person, and I have been quite optimistic (which isn't like me at all!)

As for deals I haven't seen much I want yet so no luck involved, However I'm getting that burning feel to spend money, I really want to buy something but don't know what!!! I do however tend to have 3 days or so away from quidco and miss some really good bargains, and whenever im here (checking hourly lol) I never see anything decent!

Don't know yet, but a few friends have hit that door so my guess is that the door is fine. The problem is that they see me and my wife parking so easy that everyone think is easy but is not. He is the 3rd that have hit that door.

What can I say he is my friend so I have no choice than support him, specially beacuse he's got two small children so leaving glasses on his cars is a no no . I just hope my Dyson still works after cleaning all the glasses. I had no choice than letting him using it.

Your true friends are those that are with you or support you when you are in really bad situations. The rest are just people you know.
