Recently got into Badminton over the last couple of months, just been using some cheap rackets at the moment, ones by Head.

I'm wondering if somebody can point me in the direction of some good rackets...

I've been looking at the Yonex Power Muscle 2, which is £14.99 at Argos.

Any good? Any suggestions?

get a good one mate.

that yonex won't make an awful lot of difference.
I'd spend around £50, maybe try second hand - ebay for a good £100+ racket..

I used to play quite seriously, great game, haven't got the time currently to get back into it.

Think for me mate £20 is about the max spend.

I'm not great at it, just playing it 1-2 times a week as some excersize.. If i ever got into it properly, i'd look at paying £50 odd.

The head ones i have are seriously cheapo - £15 for a set of two with a bag and 2 shuttle cocks, very bargain basement.. I was just hoping the Yonex Muscle Power 2 would be a bit better.

Oh yeah and i'm loving Badminton, used to play it as a kid at school, really good fun and doesn't half knacker you out.

Yeah I get what you mean.

As a starter, anything Carlton/Yonex is decent.

had a quick look, that doesn't look too bad.

Sportsdirect own Carlton now.

Yeah it sure does, similar knackering to squash.

So Carlton and Yonex about the same?

For the extra £15 for that Carlton one, will i be seeing allot of different quality wise over the Yonex Muscle Power 2?

Just wonder if it's a case of i'd be wasting £15 when i could get something for £30 that was massively better.

When not playing badminton I spend my time drinking beer, chopping wood and farting without impunity. All balances out in the end.

I was impatient and picked up the Yonex Muscle Power 2 from Argos... Which ended up being the Yonex Muscle Power 3 instead... Which was nice, at £14.99 it's around £5 cheaper than anyone else online inc delivery.

Played last night, seemed to have more powerful shots and was definitely able to get deeper into the court with less of a hit.
