Do NOT under any circumstances miss the Elephant Safari in Bali. (Unless you don like animals). That is a seriously cool place to visit and whilst its not cheap, its not OTT either and well worth the money.

We got back a couple of months ago and have already looked into booking flights to go back.

Do you have accomodation booked? If not, I'd suggest the hustle and bustle of Kuta and surrounding is the better choice. (We also stayed in Sanur and Nusa Dua)

The best thing about Bali are the people! As it happens... we kept the business card for recommendations of the driver we hired out there. Air con people carrrier, very pleasant english speaking driver for about 300,000 Rups for the whole day. (About £25) Give me a nod if you are interested.

If time is limited.... fly straight over from Bangkok... Bali is much nicer than KL and Singapore to visit.

Can you recommend what i should do for a full 6 days in bali, i love to snorkel and scuba dive, look at many wonders of the world, like big attractions. i dont mind island hoping, to near by islands, but does anyone know how long the trips are?
And canyou also tell me what is the cost in bali, e.g the price of food etc

Food is very cheap, though alcohol can be expensive.

If its sight seeing you are after:

Kintamani (Volcano)
Tanah Lot (Budhist Temple at sunset)
Candi Dasa Snorkelling (Though its available in several places - and this place does have diving.)
Bali Safari (This is a must!)
Market shopping in Kuta
Waterbom park (water park)

There are several small and bigger islands accessible from the SE of the island by boat. Bali is a very busy place - ie the roads are moped madness and has to be seen to be believed - but actually is all good fun to see (though you wouldn't catch me hiring one!) But as I was saying - it really is the people that the place so special.

I take it you dont have accommodation booked? Have a look at "Asia Rewards".... you could get a weeks accomodation for ($99 if your prepared to sit through a timeshare pap for an hour or so - we did - well worth it.)
